What is this football related rant doing on this thread? Where are the moderators? However it is a fair comment, but my reply is we have reverted to our normal state over the past 20 years. Last year was an anomaly for so few injuries, our norm for as long as I can remember is 10 to 12 on the injury list with 4 or 5 of those being in the best 24. That is our lot I am afraid, unlike the Dorks, the Cats over the past 10 years.

Agree we stuffed up at selection. Weid had a shocker against the Cats and if Pedo is underdone then I thought Smith should have got a second game, if only to add some muscle to a very light forward set up and give him another chance to pick up the tempo of AFL.

When we were 3 points up with 90 sec to go we chipped it around from the goal square to the southern side and back again while Salem and I think Hunt were set up on the northern stand boundary with no opponents, I couldn't believe it that our back man did not look over to the obvious target that would have soaked up more time and provided an avenue to attack again, instead we ended up kicking to a contest and coughed up a goal. However it wasn't just Vince we played a lot of dumb football today, kicking to contests when there were players in the clear. Over use of handball allowed Freo to bottle up play and take control in the 3rd.

If I am a poor soul trapped in a Syrian town I wonder how much difference there is to me if I die from a barrel bomb, a bunker buster or a phosphorous bomb or perhaps as a child I die when I am drawn to the yellow colour of an unexploded cluster bomb. Perhaps I have been injured by a cluster bomb and I go to a local hospital that then gets bombed by Russian or Syrian airstrikes and I die. it seems the West can live with this but if I died from being gassed that is overstepping the mark apparently, either way I am dead. What is the big difference?

Gee I am going to miss my Clark & Dawes weekly political fix. The man was a satirical genius. By refusing to change his look or personna in his exchanges with Dawes he overcame the blandness of our recent political leaders and concented solely on the hypocrisy or absurdity of their political positions of the day. We need political satire but who will provide that now? I used to pass him in Fitzroy from time to time and he always said g'day with that cheeky grin and the mischievous glint in his eyes. However I thought We kept them in the match, in the first half we set up their entire score by going back into the corridor, missing the target then turning it over, so the Blues could run straight back into goal, from inside 60 m. Poor game plan? I am not sure but certainly poor execution of whatever the game plan is. I don't think it will stand up against the top sides, on today's showing.

I think the new game plan and personnel line up has released Nat to be able fulfil his potential. He is not spending 90% of his time under the packs taking possession just to keep us competitive; he is now moving on the outside and looking great.

I was there today and saw him miss a few targets but he want Robinson Cruscoe that is for sure. I would not be saying he is a player who hits targets, myself.
