  1. We have more important things to worry about that a bloke on a trumpet.
  2. I think Terlich,Jetta and Nicholson are all competing for the same spot, whereas Tappy should be playing at the other end of the ground.
  3. So did Freo, maybe West Coast's midfield isn't as elite as some would think.
  4. I will say it again, with all due respect, that the journey to regaining respect does not require us to win every game, it does require us to play like we want to win every week but when we finally realise that is what is required week in week out we will be winning more often than losing anyway. I do not accept losing,I do demand a winning mentality but I'm also realistic enough to know that this type of culture takes longer than a preseason to grow. This season I demand that we play every game like it's our last and win, lose or draw we never give it up or not go 100% this is what grows respect amongst your peers, and that is what counts, not to be respected by morally bankrupt morons like Denham,Wilson etc. If we can do that this year we will finish above everyone we should and be competitive against everyone else, I expect a finish about 12th with 8-10 wins and set us up for a huge leap forward in the seasons after. Surely if we could flick on the win switch we would already have done so, but I truly feel our day is coming and is not as far away as some may think.
  5. Respect needs to be gained not given, we as a club have done nothing to gain on field respect for a number of years. We don't even need to win to start regaining respect but that would be a by product, as I was told when younger " how do you expect to be respected by others when you don't even respect yourself ?" This would be a good place to start.
  6. I would think that they haven't shrunk greatly and another game for Casey probably will not greatly affect the thickness of his legs.
  7. I would have to agree. In both training and games he has been a stand out and I would think if he gets through this game, a spot in Rd.1 would be well earnt.
  8. I also watched an entire team miss a comedian from 30 metres and while I believe that we will make significant strides this year this probably sums up where we are at the moment. No pressure kicks from this distance and some missed by 10-15 metres is not good enough at this level. Had been really upbeat by the standard shown at training up until then and by the amount of players listed as injured but participating at various levels, many joined the main group in full training.
  9. OK back on topic A.Jakovich just to make going to the footy fun again or R.Flower to remind us how great a game can be
  10. I have been a training watcher for almost 12 months and the difference is marked. I felt today's disposal was slightly shoddy however the session itself was very low key, with Tuesday's session being the main session and intensity and disposal were as good as I have seen it. We are getting there and while the patience line is getting tired it is not as far away as many may believe. The difference in fitness over the last 12 months is chalk and cheese and the skill part is progressing steadily.
