  1. Like last year? When I didnt hear anything much at all, thus, I DIDNT POST ANYTHING! Go on, check.. Im just putting out what I hear, not making any outlandish claims, and Im not saying those players are on their way to the dees, just that they may be on the move.. I guess I just dont understand the negativety, ppl like to know this stuff, this time of year is crazy, clubs offering deals left and right, and yes, 99.4% dont come to fruition, but its interesting none the less..
  2. We are not interested in trading him, thats the curent line of thought..
  3. Brad Green now appears set to be offered up as trade bait, with contract talks coming to a complete stand still this week.. That is the report out of the club today, according to numerous people at the club, and in the media. 1 highly regarded journalist from the Australian even going as far to say that the demons are considering 2 offers that have been put to them by fellow victorian clubs already. All I could get out of him was that the club showing the most interest was Essendon. It now appears more likely by the day that Green may just move on, as the club is refusing to extend their offer to a 3 year term. Although both parties are hopeful something can be worked it, time is of the essence, and the odds are now tilted towards Green departing. A club official yesterday told some reporters off the record that the role of captain was not part of any current negotiations by either party. Brent Prismall has now un-officially been offered a 2 year deal, with the option of a 3rd, pending performance, by the demons. The clubs comment on the matter has been simply "weve spoken to him yes, and he is currently weighing up his options".. Over 5-6 sources have re-affirmed that this offer is in place. One Geelong reporter went as far to tell me today the Prismall has agreed to terms, and is confident a deal will be done in principle by early next week. In other mumblings, Chris Johnson appears likely to be traded back to WA, with the Eagles seemingly showing the most interest, and Melbourne have placed a "not interested" sign above Jared Rivers' head, after receiving several inquiries regarding the Key defenders availibility. Melbourne are also still very hopeful of being able to land Fremantle big man Robert Warnock, believing that they have the ability to offer Fremantle the best offer for the Ruckman. Reports also suggest that Warnock has told Fremantle that he will only deal with Melbourne and the blues, leaving Carlton as his no.1 destination, and the tigers out in the cold. Disgruntled Hawk bigman Simon Taylor is believed to be another option for the club, with Taylor rumoured to of already asked to be moved on at seasons end. Ryan O'keefe, the Key Sydney stalwart, has been made the subject of a big play by the Western Bulldogs, its believed he has been offered a 4 year multi million $$$ deal, even larger than the one the dogs unsuccesfully offred Russel Robertson Last year, this time however, the mail is that they may have their man this time. Other players that may be looking for a new home are: Ashley Hansen, Brent Reilly, Farren Ray, Sam Butler, Leigh Fisher, Kane Tenace, Ed Barlow, Jason Davenport, Brad Fisher and Mitch Clarke. Thats all the latest mail as of 8pm, Nudge Out..
  4. Well said mate, exactly the reasoning behind it IMO!
  5. Agree with that first part, he's a gun, was playing ahead of Kelly & Wojac when he got injured, he has great disposal, is tough, does need to gain some pace and lateral movement though, the knee wont help there, but if drafted in PSD or traded for a lpick outside the top 20, id say good stuff.. A trade for a player would be hard 2 imagine!
  6. Cant see us being in the mix.. WOuld be an asset IMO, however, id perfer a taller option..
  7. I have made a few calls, and it seems an offer has been made last week.. From all reports we are the only other club he is considering.. Alot of work to be done though, especially on trade talks and etc.. must wait until next week for cats.. SHame about the injury though..
  8. Mckinely has finally signed to WCE.. Another one bites the dust.. Mundy, Davey, Mckinley, Murphy, Sherman, Rischitelli, Proud, all players to re-sign qho may have been MFC targets.. Still a few on our list lef though..
  9. Not a chance in the burning core of hell
  10. Mate, sorry but you are terribly wrong there! Bell would not even come remotely close to getting Warnock! Pick 19 and Bell is not far off, IMO.. Pick 19 alone might JUST get him!! but maybe not! Bell wouldnt be a straight up trade for Jason Norrish right now..
  11. Best post i have ever read! Well said mate! exactly my views.. so fragile.. But yes, we will b in the thick of talks, already are..
  12. LOL!! Im so tired! There was once a player named adam bentley.. but cheers guys.. lol..
  13. I have now heard to much about this to ignore it. The demons are being reported to of made a formal offer for Power defender Greg Bentley. Hardly a big scalp, but word around is he WILL be at MFC next year. Has impressed Dean Bailey whilst in PA, and is reportedly wanting to move home to Victoria. Orginally from the stingrays, he is a strong backmen, who can play tall or small, with good leg speed and great hands. He has played 21 games for Port. Not sure what we'd have 2 give for him, but the rumours are that Port are VERY keen on DAniel Bell, and are competing with the crows for his services. In other reports, The demons have also reportedly shown interest in Kane Tenace, Adelaide's Jonathon Griffen, and perhaps most significantly, Farren Ray's name has been mentioned in passing days. We'll all keep our eyes and ears open..
  14. Oh dear!! Setanta?? pls! Tenace is 1 to keep an eye, im hearing whispers in regards to him..
  15. Spot on! Trade Gren for Top 20.. or a player like Dowler and a lower pick, or a straight swap 4 Boyle is fine with me!
  16. Thats exactly what i try and tell ppl, but they dont listen! Trades are very hard to pull off!! Heaps get mentioned, i just mention a select few that I hear.. Sources?? come on mate, think about it, i cant go name dropping! that wont ever happen! Unless I hear things from a journo i know doesnt mind me mentioning!! Harris didnt want the Wells deal for PR reasons! It turned out lucky.. FYI, there was 2 other potentially big deals close alst year with us, but again, they fell over!
  17. Harsh Bails.. I think Boyle would fit in well.. Was playing good footy early on.. Good hands, awesome kick, would really be a good target IMO, and would not cost 2 much! Dowler is a risk, but is the "type" we need, Thorp would be better, but no chance..
  18. Still seems unclear.. Should know by tomorrow.. Rosa, Mundy, Dowler, Boyle are the 1's I really like the sound of atm.. Its hard work 2 trade at all, but, if we could snare 1, id be happy..
  19. No mate, not big footy.. 1 is Chris Jones, who told me about 3 of them, otheres are being bandied around by some agents.. Its just players we'd be interested in, nothing to get excited about atm
  20. Not much to like there.. Cockshell, Murphy, even Schulz (cough) better options than those..
  21. Demons are understood to of shown some interest in the last few days.. Along with Bombers, Blues and Pies.. Not quite tall enough IMO, so not a true KPP, but does have some good ability thats 4 sure! Would cost us though, prob pick 17 and 19, or 1 and a decent player.. Likely to stay at eagles IMO though.. Things will also heat up in the Mundy race, with the Dees about to intensify their efforts this week.. Other players we are believed to have on our list are: Jason Davenport, Beau Dowler, Tim Boyle, Brent Reilly, Ryan Murphy, Adam Thomson, Matt Rosa, Mitch Clarke. According to some, we have a list of about 20+ players we want to inquire about.. Also, Watts understood to be a lock, regardless of Where Warnock ends up..
  22. Well apparently, thats exactly what he wants to do..
  23. I gotta say i like it!! Very aggressive!! Go dees
  24. Thats fantastic news.. The word is the white jumper with the demon logo was chosen.. the white parts become red, the red parts become blue.. nice..
  25. Nice point! Ox has been the goalkicking coach down there, and by all reports, has been doing wonders! Williams on the move apparently..
