  1. You simple minded tool.. I posted on staurday that Green, Johnson (2 abuse of many) & Jamar were up for trade, and I now have had that quoted on by the club, so I suppose I made those up then? yes? oh and Chris Connelly is in on my devious grand plan.. Go forth and multiply you twit..!!! This post is for those who want some info.. As Terry Wallace quoted this morning, only 1-2% of mentioned deals are able to come to fruition, so all we can do is relay the info.. so here it is..
  2. As I mentioned in my post on saturday, The demons have offered up The above players for trade, and attracted more interest than even they could of expected. AS reported on AFL website, the demons were key players in todays talks. Here is a little more demon specific info out of today. While still keen to attain Greens services, it appears he is settled on the idea of moving to a premiership contender, with Hawthorn, Sydney and the Saints all making geniune Inquiries. The Hawks lead the race, with Mitch Thorp the focus of the demons talks so far. Port Adelaide made an offer early on in the day, of pick 38 and a player, 1 believed to be Damon White, however the demons were quick to refute any potential deal, with Thorp or a 1st round pick their preffered options at this stage. There were also a number of inquiries in regards to injury riddled key defender Jared Rivers, with the demons making it clear he was not available for trade this week. Alot of interest for Mark Jamar, with 3 clubs in a spin over his availibilty, Richmond, Carlton, Adelaide are the key players at this stage. The demons are believed to be looking for a pick in the 30's for Jamar. The biggest surprise of the day was the number of clubs keen on aquiring the services of Demon Flanker Chris Johnson, with up to 8 clubs asking the question of his price on the market. St.Kilda was seen to be the most aggressive, with word they are keen to deal as part of multiple team deal involving Geelong Mid Brent Prismall moving across to demonland and an exchange of picks amongst the teams. The demons are the clear front runners for Prismall, and its understood they have an agreement with the cats in principle, and are merely waiting for the other deals to come along to assist in the exchange. Other clubs to flag interest in Johnson were Port Adelaide, Hawthorn and Collingwood. The bombers are also in the running for Prismall, should the demons not be able to get the preferred deal through. Despite putting him on the table, there was a lack of interest today for Paul Wheatley, however it is only early days. Its seen the demons may lower their expectations on offers for the Utility. The Adelaide Crows and Brisbane Lions also announced interest late in the day for Colin Sylvia, with talks to get under way tomorrow. The demons are not shopping Sylvia, and are unlikely to deal the no.3 draft pick at this stage. Melbourne also mentioned Tim Boyle, but talks cooled when it became clear the Bulldogs were prepared to offer up alot more in order to attain his services. Melbourne made few inquiries in regards to other players, With Joel Macdonald & David Armitage the only players not mentioned above that Demon staff showed some interest in to their respective clubs. Melbourne will intensify inquiries into those players tomorrow. Tomorrow its up and at em' again, Interesting days talk, but remember, its just talk.. NO deals are expected to be completed until Late Wednesday or early Thursday.
  3. With kerr now out of contention, blues will ramp up offers for Warnock.. pick 24 was always just a fishing offer.. But yes, there is hope, deals are always hard 2 strike, and if they fail, we have 1 pick in PSD, thus still a good chance.. alot of deals miss the deadline by mere seonds, wouldnt that be nice!!
  4. Valenti? 1. no trade value, 2. Hasnt had the same oppportunities as NAte.. I dont think nate will be traded, however, he is quite slow, and will only ever be just good, he will never be a star, and his value might be peaking atm, thus, its not totally ridiculous to conceive him as trade bait, but in saying that, he wont be!!
  5. Um no mate, thats the issue, and the reason this year is so important! The Gold Coast team gets the top picks next year, we will only get pick 6, then maybe 11.. not to mention all the other kids the GC have rights to.. Picks arew worth 5 times what they normally are right now.. Hence the importance of increasing our order this year, to fully utilise this years draft, this is our only real chance..
  6. I was going to do a separate post on Green tomorrow.. Things still up in the air, his vbalue will be tested on the market.. no doubt about it!! I'll have an update tomorrow night..
  7. Your not reading the post properly mate.. Its part of a bigger deal, to which the finer details are atm unclear.. Im not suggesting a straight Seaby for 35, more likely that it includes another player or 2, and picks changing hands, alot of deals wthis year will involve several clubs in order to get them over the line..
  8. Is it just? Thats why Connelly has been quoted on it..lol Seaby is a goal kicking Ruckman, a valuable commodity in footy, he's not gonna win us a falg, but hes certainly of interest at a bargain price, and a big help in filling the void.. your lack of footy nous continues to amaze me.. I also cant see tigers giving up Morton, however, just because we inquire does not mean the tigers want to part with him.. Miller not going to Brisbane, wont happen, they had their chance and dont seem at all interested.. As for Mitch Clark, a number of clubs have shown interest, and the lions are apparently listening to offers, so maybe they just wanna test his value and see wat bobs up, all players are tradeable if the price is right..
  9. No, its actually to ensure them Nait.. As if we deal no.3 to freo, eagles miss out on Nait, thus the deal has been rumoured, its unlikely however..
  10. Things have been slow the last few days during camp, but there are a few consistent rumours.. Mark Seaby appears almost a certain demon unless Warnock can somehow slip through. There is word that the demons will trade with fremantle pick 1 for 3, allowing Warnock to slip through to the PSD, but this appears dead in the water today. Thus, the Demons are in the box seat to attain the services of Seaby, with the likely deal being pick 35 being dealt by the demons, probably in a 3 or 4 team deal.. The other mooted option is a trade of pick 1 for 2, with the eagles adding in a late pick, and the proviso that the Eagles take Naitanui with the no.1 pick, leaving Watts for the dees. In other news: Melbourne are shopping a number of players including: Daniel Bell, Chris Johnson, Mark Jamar, Paul Wheatley, and the ever irrepressable Nathan Carroll amongst others for trade in order to improve their order in the upcoming National draft.. The latest specific offer that is around is Bell to the crows along with 51 for pick in return for pick 28. The demons have also approached a few clubs in regards to the availibilty of a few players including Beau Dowler, Mitch Thorp,Brent Reilly, Mitch Clarke & Mitch Morton. Hawthorn have again expressed interest in Jared Rivers, with the dees reluctant to even consider offers, unless Mitch Thorp or Dowler is attached to any offer. The saints are believed to of cooled on thoughts of trading David Armitage at this stage. Brent Prismall still remains a big possibility, however ther have been no developments.
  11. Definately a good rookie list prospect.. I remember when he was drafted that I hoped we'd pick him up.. Someone will give him a go, lets have we at least have a look!
  12. There was on ch10.. Watch sports tonight!
  13. Well said mate! We got lucky with Col, lets no just give it away in the hope of drafting only a similiar p[layer, its pointless and down right dangerous! Garland is the future, he is ours, lets embrace it!
  14. Very unlikely to play next year, may sneak a couple in.. Watts is LONG TERm peple, so pls, go easy, save the hate mongering for 2 years at least. He is seen as being a 3-4 development player, with a MASSIVE end result! Only in yr 11!! As for the straw poll, just a journo who went around and asked, simple really..
  15. Guys, This is all great conjecture and helps build excitement, but watts is all done, especially after today! Some chance of us trading for a pick to get Vickery, thats the only way we'll get him..
  16. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but falsh is a real vital part of our club, and its culture off and on field. He has finally overcome his chronic ankle injury, and will be close to becoming a full time on baller, just wait buddy, flash is about to explode, he is VITAl, and along with Garland, Morton, Grimes and Martin, 1 of our few untouchanle players!
  17. I hope your willing to get some egg on your face, as the saints are the ones shopping him! Right now, Armitage, Prismall, Bentley and Dowler our most likely players to this point..
  18. Jones our brightest light? cmon mate! I'll admit hes not trade bait, but u went a little far their.. Nate will be a good solid footballer, but Garland, Morton, Grimes, Mclean our our future stars!!
  19. Was great to see JAck watts talk up our list today and say that he be only to happy to become a demon, even though he knows he will be, its still great to hear.. A straw ool taken today of the recruiters had 14 out of 16 Nominate Watts as their choice for no.1 pick, he just keeps rising and rising, get excited people, this is the best draft since 01', and were primed to select the best KPP porspect since Riewoldt, how about some enthusiasm!! Lets hope Sidebottom can slip to 17, its a chance!
  20. What is wrong with you? Neither of those trades could work, especially the second 1! bombers would laugh! Davey is our key player, not going anywhere..
  21. Those ppl are idiots.. They are the same ppl who cant see what Cale is capable of, and that say Meeson should be delisted and that Watts is like his cousin.. pfftt.. garland just needed to find his feet, and now taht he has, he has the whole league talking, 1 senior coach going as far as to say he is one of the best prospects down back since Scarlett.. There are also a number ofg journalists who are talking him up as an All-Australian next year.. We are on a HUGE talent here, and I know for a fact that some clubs would consider him worthy of the No.1 pick, even this year, if it wasnt for the amount of criticism they would cop from their members in the short term.. He can play small, tall, Fb, CHB, wing, even up forward, he has poise way beyond his years, does not trun the ball over, and is known to be extremely level headed on & off the field.. He is UNTOUCHABLE, the most so in our side.. Col Garland is here to stay, and I say, THANK GOD!
  22. Cant see it, maybe rookie list prospect though!
  23. Some people.. U wanna give up our best key back prospect in 50 years and risk it on a pick? a lottery? Seriously, you people amaze me! Colin Garland is a star, and could be a true great, bomber fans have it right, why trade a player we KNOW can handle the level, to get a kid who might not, hes 20 for gods sake! unreal! Possibily the stupedest thing i have EVER seen a demon supporter want, pick 5?? wow, damn fools..
  24. Not dynamic enough? HE HAS HAD A CHRONIC ANKLE PROBLEM FOR 2 YEARS!!! Its been terrible, should have had it fixed a long time ago, but it kept returning, he is now finally ready for a full pre-season.. go on, call the club, ask them how bad his ankle was.. Lets see how dynamic he is now taht its finally been properly operated on, and had the scar tissue removed..
