Yes the body language is really poor thatās absolutely true & is a worry but then.. imagine playing in this.. wld you be up and about? donāt forget we lost 2 best 22 players before a game was played.. that we had no chance of replacing due to them being post-post-season! Weāve got holes but weāve also got plenty of talent to re-load with even IF this year goes pair-shaped! Blues supporters were burning their memberships this time last what, LONG down and beaten, no evidence at all of it being darkest before the dawn.. GWS even More so ā they had a new coach close to sacked.. howās that work out? Mercy me why do some feel they have the privilege to just bash a club they allegedly support while others must suffer & grin and bear it? Have some civility & poise, thatās all I think the club would ask.. donāt be the blues fans that had to ask for a new membership card for finals tickets cus they ālost itā..

Hahahaha youāre surely kidding! Kick 5% straighter and we beat the pies you silly bugger! What an overtly ignorant comment.. but I feel your pain, Itās shizen it really is.. but it is also a one-off for the last 4yrs & that in-and-of-itself is a statement! I mean ā Darcy looking like Gawns daddy is actually real you think is it? Amiss is far too good for May is he? Come on bud, you know itās silly! This comp is just so even, things are always on knife-edge and if youāre off, you get belted!!! Tigers can barely field a side thatās above VFL quality, then lost their one decent player & yet if not for even more inj and some poor conversion theyād of been 60+ ahead of Geelong at the cattery ā Such is footy! But why do you get to cheer the wins when you canāt take ONE belting? Tell me

To be perfectly honest, Iām maddest about not getting Sharpā A player we had interest in prev & that fits our needs so well! Canāt blv we didnāt try to snag him but who knows maybe there were red-flags re health long term or something.. I canāt help but remiss what Jackson/Gawn wouldāve become as well! But then Iām reminded Jackson as a fwd is <Turner!!!

How about Confidence, Running-legs, Jolt-up-the-wazoo, JVR, Lever (after the bye), Laurie, Billings, Kolt, Hore (post-bye), Billings, Seston, Jeffo & AMW?!?!?! Nick-off - your pain doesnāt get abated by being sarcastically-dissident when itās hailing! Youāre better than that Iām sure of it mate. If it happens again next week, and after bye, sure Iāll worry the years a write-off ā But then Iāll trust JT and Goody whom won is a FLAG for the first time since 1964!!!!!!

Cus we have a bye coming up, and to have a better set of legs come September! This is hilarious reading the mania.. itās genuinely cheered me up ā knowing how silly supporters get (me inc many times Iām sure in the past) from one game! If you canāt see thereās something desp right about one side and wrong with the other then youāre either blind or delirious.. Lets see how many of these same names bob-back-up in a few wks saying āit was the turning pointā or it was āan outlierā result.. Sure, I may be šÆ wrong but this team right here has proven over and over theyāre made of the right stuff and jumping-off to me seems to be the antithesis of an erudite Demon fan. Its awful, my 10yr old footy nut daughter ā who is someone that lives and breathes footy (playing/supporting) is an absolute mess right now as sheās never seen this, has no reference for it at ALL.. So Iāll be dammed if Iām gonna encourage her to be a fire-weather supporter! Not saying anyone here is, but Iām saying we have a choice to go we react & im choosing to trust this group as thatās what their history has proven!

The funny thing is, itās change weāre trying ā we could go back to 22-23 Brand in no time but WHY? Do what youāve always done and youāll get same result.. how can no one else see this IS trying to change????? Goodness me.. Iād rather we donāt change and just kicked straighter (ly) but I also see we canāt keep getting to finals, dominating i50 and LOSING!!! We lost 4/4 finals ā We have to try and transition our game and we will, itās a bump in the road, just hope for no injuries & put it behind us!

I think some peeps have been a bit spoiled.. I wish I could make it so that when you jump-off this quickly you canāt enjoy the high-rides but I know where youāre coming from and wouldāve once felt similar but this is a perfect day for a team thatās choc-full of confidence and weāre barely there! Maybe this is a butt-smashing we need? No reason it canāt be.. I choose to keep faith, everythingās going right for them and itās evident theyāre chasing in. I canāt smash a team thatās given me so much resounding reasons to trust them.. I mean look at that Serong Goal for goodness sake off back if DARCY lucky goal and Frederick boundary goal, thatās just bananas & good on em! Weāll bounce back next week.. you donāt lose ability overnight for goodness sake! Harden up ppl, itās a crappy day ā move fwd.

U think itās the mids? Today has been contest in general not just the mids imho I mean seeing Oāmeara be made to look like Ablett hurts but Iām not sure itās all mids weāve just been off our game completely trying to be some sort of cutting kick team which weāre not.. itās certainly just very strange weāre at sea without a boat let alone a paddle!!!

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Fremantle
I can only imagine whatās being said ā but to me itās looking as simple as perceived pressure and general poor disposal and decisions that are killing us. I50 tackles were up 8-3, but we just have lost all ability to make the right decision ā game-plan adaptation or implementation issues, or just poor run of disposals/decisions? Makes d50 looks really poor but Iām not convinced it is, whilst itās not great itās more about where we are turning it over and our inability to get chains together. Intercepting non-existent at present, but Freo look like a COMPLETELY diff side, very strange Iām not throwing baby out with bath water despite being obviously shattered at what Iām seeing.. Becomes all about confidence for next week now I guess ā letās hope for some spirit at least.

Get Sam Darcy ā¦
But maybe with Gus $$$ we could enter race for Smith⦠heād add some solid midfield depth and is young enough to learn to play like a Dee!!! or English (unlikely as I rkn itās WA or stay but still) to take us post Max era but we all know the next 2yrs if Max is still gonna mean no one comes that isnāt a kid as they all know theyāll be 2nd fiddle!

Get Sam Darcy ā¦
Lord I WISH!!!.. I think heās the best key fed prospect Iāve seen since Franklin tbh ā moves so well as is typical with late growth-spurt tally! But heās a dogs man for life now weād have muncher better shout for English or Jamarra neither of which would be even a modicum of excitement in comp to Darcy! But Kalani is exciting and could have plenty of growing left as well š¤

Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield
Iām genuinely excited by this pick ā Kid has a crack as shown by highlights, def more of a JVR type than Jeffo type as in seems to be able to impact the contest with physicality and can pinch-hit in ruck. Coaches have all said heās a ripper and that heāll make an impact fast which is always a good sign.. Welcome to Demonland āKenterā as Iām already calling him.. exciting prospect that Iām glad we called out.

PODCAST: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Gents another excellent podcast as always appreciate your time and effort! Tommo ā so happy for him, heās far inferior to Lever in terms of reading play & first-step but he did a great job to show he can play May-type role but heās not an interceptor as Binman adroitly pointed out! Likely gone at seasons end esp if Battle is target (battle would be an upgrade from an intercepting standpoint). Gameplan is as I said lw, clearly designed to not be as banged-up physically come finals and Binman has referenced this long-ago and is spot-on, players have confirmed it in the media so anyone not across this needs to be aware of it and factor it in! Weāve finally changed, it is the definition of insanity to repeat the same thing and expect a alternate result or outcome ā I canāt wait to see us go hell-for-leather come August-September! Salem ā Couldn't be more impressed with how we used him, on lvl2 view it was super clear that the strategy was to find him and his 13 marks reflected it, other teams might start to play him defensively but we have Bowser, Mcvee whom can play a similar role albeit not to same extent, but it adds another gear to use when needed & my only feedback was his lack of penetration on kicking inc the shot he didnāt take, he is def not able to flush the ball atm or perhaps ever based on recent evidence, but letās see. Just on Hunter, I like both he and Billings similarly they play a role but thatās just the point, itās a role.. but some things are intangible inc per player rating and first game back Hunter absolutely added enough per his role & Goody has been crying out for players to keep playing their role & both do that fairly well but Hunter can finish so I give him a slight edge. Very interrupted pre-season for Hunter so think itās slightly unfair not to call that out as well but itās a role that requires experience and Ed is the cream of the wing crop certainly, however his rating was far less than even Hunterās yet again, he added intangibles, played a great neg role as a fwd as did Hunter filling space defensively. Neither got a tackle but both also stayed wide in their roles & didnāt get a heap of opportunities for tackles either. But this happens, player go weeks without tackles all the time outside of inside mids and rucks. McAdam is finding fitness and touch, seriously ppl are just so ridiculously critical of players itās quite startling to be fair ā 6 tackles and ran his guts out all day, heāll show his wears just wait and see & watch the eeyores backtrack! Kick he didnāt make distance was a stab Andy, absolute stab! McAdam and Kos are TOLD to fly for marks, itās part of our entry strategy for goodness sake haha! And McAdam has FAR more runs on board for high-marks than Kos, thatās for sure ā he looked exhausted and I love that cus it means he gave everything & his tank will build as a result thatās how it grows exponentially and why GAME exp is needed to get that tank elongated. Petty one is a tough ā I think Jeffo is far from ready although he couldnāt be any less perf wise based on many other thin slight fwds ie Jones, Amiss! JVR was held cus he had other options so think that comparison fails scrutiny somewhat ā heās close! Petts undoubtedly adds much needed presence, he brings ball to ground, takes best def and WILL start clunking them although yes, itās wearing then to defend him but I suggest heās going nowhere, as JVR is better for Petts being there itās that simple. Heās such a bloody star I canāt wait to see him in a couple years heās so sublime & that goal when being tackled was just beyond good, it was strength personified!!!

Great post ā have hoped weāre keen on him for 18m & I truly blv Battle fits bill as far as needs go as well, we like swing players and his 1/1 has improved incredibly!

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Fremantle
Windsor does need a rest ā VFL is not even similar to AFL level in terms of laid BUT I think he needs an actual week-off rest.. run has dipped considerably & heās very slight without the Stretch-Flower-sinew so unsure if bikkies are needed but the rest I think couldnāt hurt.. heāll still need to run his legs X KMās but could do without the body contact & physicality but of course weāre all guessing! Hunter in was absolutely perfect ā as stated before game; his IQ, defensive running is INTEGRAL ā Those inc on podcast saying he is cooked from VFL form is absolutely ridiculous & now proven such. Iād LOVE to see Jeffo come-in but canāt see it yet, not due to frame etc but wanna see him back-up with another 3-5 this week then he can be a serious consideration! Turner unlikely, so no change for mine unless you go AMW for Windsor!

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
I truly wish more ppl would engage with this topic. Post-clearance ball is VITAL in todayās transition based game! It all stems from the Tigers glad years, albeit a diff version to today, but it is all about pressure and stand-rule was created due to tigers effective mgmt of not allowing teams easy kicks & basically āmucking-the-gameā into creating turnover again albeit with diff method of fwd momentum and hacking fwd rather than smooth transition footy were seeing now. Pies and somewhat Blues (yes, contested/clearance based blues) post their losing streak really honed this turnover/trans craft and itās also why this year theyāre not as effective for other teams have taken it further and that is what WE/DEES are trying to do. Itāll take time, but Iām convinced it WILL click at some stage & like late 2020 when we started our fwd-half game, itāll then start to click more and more effectively. The method is all about running patterns once turnover is created and getting separation from other teams zone so each week looks slightly diff but idea is to get ball from turnover, breaking up chains, explode out with handball and then gain control by hitting angled targets that can take advantage of stand-rule in fed half by then getting easier hit-ups i50 but not from āleadsā so much as from players running in Trans to certain hot-spots that allow better shots at goal. Weāve not perfected it yet but blv me Hunter and Lingers, Windsor ALL play crucial role alongside Nibs, Chinny Chandler, Kos, Trac etc as hopefully youāll start to see this week against a defensive team like Saints who cough-up regularly due to poor kicking players outside of Wanganeen-Milera, 1-2 others ā they have butchers disposing of the ball and it should give us a good-look at where we are at and how much we can punish will dictate the game. For all those peeps bemused by Hunter selection, itās šÆ strategy execution based! Itās also why Billings was hoped to be as good but unfortunately heās just not taken enough chances and is not getting there fast enough defensively so hence why Hunter now gets his shot as he always was going to. Itās also why Howes comes out, as without Lever/Hore we need balance & cannot have he and Woey in same defence & Salo they want midfield. This means Woey is marked to play full game ā mark-it down, Howes out means he is a near certainty!

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Hunter is a much stronger defensive runner, and has a very astute footy IQ. In modern game, turnover is crucial ā Hunter is one the best exponents we have in terms of helping create turnover by being in the right places and putting pressure on in a more implied way, as well as being physical around the contest, he does lots of deft touches, ground-handballs etc that help us in transitioning the ball effectively which is crucial in punishing turnover. He also has a good i50 brain with angles and finishes better than Billings as well. Proven AFL level exponent where his impact canāt always be measured, as even pressure acts donāt quite showcase his importance in this area and in his defensive running patterns that are extremely effective.

Suggest that umpire will get a rest, whilst Nicholls controversy last night gets full AFL Support.. absolute free kick everyday of week and tbh Iām really tired of McRae passive-aggression & hope maybe someone will finally call it out in mass-hysteria-media as his pressers are getting more and more virulently poor.
