  1. Far out, 10 metre rule has gone out the window. How was that not 50?
  2. Quick...edit the top line.
  3. Have you switched off yet pd? BT just said “ look at Sparkle”.
  4. Stones and Maguire losing concentration and allowing Mandzukic to slip in behind them to score Croatia’s most famous ever goal. Clinical finish too by the striker. A lot of current and former Spurs players running around out there tonight.
  5. Dees into $1.11 now after Bont ruled out. Just put this game to bed early Dees. First time we get to look at Jeffy and Spargo on the G together.
  6. Jesse currently on Fox’s The Weekend Lowdown. Refreshing to see him smile and have some fun. Scrubs up well too does Jesse. Never seen this show before, looked like some lighthearted fun. When the question was put to him, he would have Nathan Jones as the player to kick for goal to win after the siren from the 30-40m range. Touched on his midfield minutes, more stay at home forward now since the return of Gus and Viney into the team.
  7. That’s exactly what mate just said to me. It was very hard to ignore a win like that. Like you said Macca, Black Book for Gold Mag. Thanks for the article. Some talk El struggled with the step up to 1200m but he was happy overall with the run. Not a fan of the jock but he admitted the ride was a good one today. They’ll find a suitable race soon we hope. The day ended up a good one in the end, I could no longer ignore Williams, backed his runner in the last. Got upwards of $14 with the boost.?
  8. I’d like to see Kent replace Stretch, more speedy than Stretch but unsure if two games back in the VFL is enough for a recall.
  9. Oh, come on! Poor bloke can’t take a trick, hopefully it’s minor. It’s happening too often for the kid. Fingers crossed.
  10. Apologies for the shot, not sure why it’s come up like that. Couldn’t resist, Williams is a legend!
  11. G’day Macca. Gold Mag was very impressive. That was some turn of foot. El ran a good race, did a bit of work early and was a little under pressure upon straightening but fought well to the line. I didn’t get the full rundown as connections were quick to leave after the race. Will have some more when I speak to mate later on. El was quite agitated an hour before the race win the traffic surrounding his stall. They had to move him to a quiet location, maybe that had a part to play. Not the result they wanted but another race will pop up soon. I’ve taken a couple of pics but I’m having trouble uploading them for some reason.
  12. A live training report. Brilliant! Is Balic out there? Many thanks @dazzledavey36
  13. Saints are slashing ticket prices to attract AFL fanatics for Friday night’s blockbuster during a sale period commencing tomorrow morning. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Adult tickets down to $13 from $25 and if you prefer level 2 behind the goals you’ll be $45 out of pocket instead of $75. * Please note: I didn’t make this up.
  14. No problem mate. Looking forward to the report.?
  15. Yes, parking can be a bit tricky.
  16. Website states 9.45 this morning Dazzle.
  17. I want him to win it for the acceptance speech alone.
  18. The Saints have another 2 Friday night games after this one.
  19. ‘ Outback Warrior’ & ‘Gold Mag’ were impressive in their debuts and won by decent margins Macca. Both show ability, but like you said there’s a number of lightly raced horses and sometimes the jump from maiden grade to a BM64 isn’t always plain sailing. This really is a good race for betting especially the exotics. Spoke to mate yesterday and they are 95% certain they will run tomorrow. Horse is also nominated for Sale on Thursday but with the track rated a Heavy8 down there Sandown is a better option. I will head down to the track tomorrow, it’s been a while since I had a ticket printed from an old style bookie. Looking forward to it.
  20. I agree with Cornes. We are so lucky to have him. MAX GAWN has been the best and most influential player in the competition this season and the Melbourne ruckman definitely deserved his spot in my round 16 Team of the Week. I think he has a really good chance to win the Brownlow Medal.
  21. Agree with that. I thought it was an enlightening discussion on all topics and found myself liking Davis and Danger. Some strong comments by the boys, especially Danger’s “ farcical” when commenting about the fixture.
  22. I think he’s a massive chance for the Brownlow Wise. I had a peek at the odds earlier. He’s on the second line of betting with Cripps at $7. If anyone likes odds of $7 surely it’s Max rather than Cripps you pick with your hard earned. Cripps is very good but one win for them?? That would be extraordinary if he can win it playing for that team. Also Gaff $11.
  23. El Magnificence has accepted for Race 3 at Sandown on Wednesday. Full field of 16 to go around at this stage which makes it a tricky affair. El has drawn barrier 10 in what should really be a competitive race and a lottery to be honest. It’s a BM64 and nothing really separates all horses in the ratings. Highest rated horse is at 65 and lowest at 61. Some of the 65 rated horses have placed an apprentice on board as they were lumped with in excess of 60kg. No odds available as yet. https://www.racenet.com.au/racing-form-guide/sandown-20180711/le-pine-funerals-handicap-race-3 Edit: Bet365 have a market open. He’s $10 and $3.40. Fifth/sixth pick. Fav is at $5 (7).
  24. If anyone is concerned about recovery after the Darwin game, don’t be. The players ran rings around 10yr olds at the school holiday clinic at Goschs this morning. All players were in an extremely good mood after a winning weekend. Well organised clinic with lots of different activities and the all the kids present had a ball. Well done MFC! Enough about the kids now, I needed a Monday footy fix. Managed to sneak a few questions to some of the boys. Apart from the obvious heat and humidity issues, they have recovered rather well and will be fine come Saturday ( let’s hope). Great to see some of the parents give a big welcome and good to see you back to AVB.
