  1. Are we including 2016? Come to think of it, it actually reads worse since the start of 2017.
  2. I will spew up if they drop Hunt. From what we were able to see on the TV, I thought he was very influential. Just need to look at the work he puts in as a forward. Classic example was Trac’s goal in the 3rd and the behind the goal vision shows that. Great team goal by the way when things weren’t going our way and Hunt was partly responsible. Oliver wins a contested ball at half back, handballs to Viney and puts a long kick to Trac’s advantage. While all this was happening Hunt made multiple leads to confuse the hell out of Liam Jones and in the end it left the square vacant for the ball to bounce through. Mind you, Hunt still beat Jones to the line. What are other forwards do we have that can do that? You don’t need a heap of possessions as a forward to influence the game.
  3. We got a couple of mentions on the Carlton site. Jimmy Plunkett was one of the umps and we had 17 players enabling us 3 rotations whilst all 14 Blues played the entire 3x20 min periods.
  4. I thought Curnow tagged Petracca or tried to for the majority of the game Dazzle. Did he switch on to Viney when Trac moved forward? I might have it wrong. Thought Viney lifted a bit in the last few minutes after been quiet for so long. Remember him getting to a few important contests.
  5. Agree with that. The only thing to add is if restrictions continue during the regular season once you have been selected to attend a match you then go to the bottom of the line to at least give everyone a chance to attend.
  6. Hope Hannan pulled up well after the scratch match. Takes Melskham’s place for mine.
  7. 6. Petracca 5. Oliver 4. Gawn 3. Rivers 2. Hunt 1. Langdon
  8. Lol, unreal return to the footy. Likes for now.....Bennell looked like he got through ok. Trac is just a beast, would’ve lost without him I think. Rivers although not the same type as Whelan just looked like he belonged immediately. Reminded me of Wrecker’s debut. He might even get some votes. Good to see Hunt amongst the goals. Some of our boys looked dirty after the game
  9. Never fails 3 up at a contest. Smiths fault
  10. Rivers showing more composure than a few senior heads.
  11. Good typing everyone. Go Dees!
  12. Carlton tweeted there will be a report on the match on their official site tomorrow. Could be the same for us.
  13. How long does it take for the roof to close?
  14. From what we have seen all summer and the hard work they have put in both must be cursing themselves right now for something that just needed a little more thought in this current environment. Kossie so close to running out with his fellow draftees and Bennell, Spargo on the cusp of the 22. Like anything else, a learning experience. I’m sure Max will tuck both under his arms and have a gentle word to them.

  16. My favourite part was the fake cheering after the siren. Don’t think I’ve ever heard a crowd cheer after a drawn game. Everyone usually sits there confused.
  17. I think this would be a hoot. Watching the reactions of landers’ during a match and at the same time watching them post on the game day thread.
  18. My guess is Hunt also to be included if we change 7. We have a comeback story in Bennell, two debutants, why not include a player seemingly out of favour. One more surprise.
  19. Not 100% sure Andy, I thought I read somewhere the media wasn’t allowed in last night’s scratch match due to the trialling from the broadcasters. Might explain the lack of vision from the journos.
  20. I found his thoughts interesting to listen to McQueen, a lot more interesting than some of the posts on this site celebrating the possible omission of certain players from our team. No problem if you don’t agree with him, I believe we will win this weekend but I thought it was relevant to the topic.
  21. A bit strange the clubs involved in tonight’s game didn’t provide any score updates or reports for their supporters. Wonder if it was an AFL directive as the broadcasters were trialling some TV tricks.
