We did that a few times, rather than a dump kick we used the extra handball to great effect all day. We also limited Freo to only 33 metres gained from their forward handball game, they average 333 metres in 2025.

That is what I take out of the season so far, we don’t seem unified. I wouldn’t call it selfishness, maybe individuals are trying too hard to be the ‘I need to do something to get us going’ type of thing. In 2021 we didn’t talk off the field, we just did. Early rounds of 2021 in a game against the Cats I remember we laid 6 tackles in the last 31 seconds of the game and we were up by 4-5 goals. This season we can barely pressure the ball carrier.

I hope we don’t set up to minimise the ‘damage’, screw that i say. We were well and truly in the game at 3/4 time on Sat night and to watch us sit back early in the last like the Italian national soccer team of the 90s defending a 1-0 lead was excruciating. The game was there to be won and we should’ve been attacking to win it. People pay a lot of money for memberships and to watch that was beyond frustrating. No wonder supporters are fed up.

I can’t stand rotations. Fritta gets some confidence back playing out of the goal square in the 3rd and jags a couple of quick ones then he’s taken off. Momentum stifled. Then he’s put up the ground again.
