The sad thing is, it wasn't until Melbourne were down to one player on the bench that they started playing well. The game was lost in the first five or ten minutes, before the injuries occurred.

Brown was useless tonight. He just loose, cheap possessions that were in no way damaging.

He was Melbourne's best player until injured.

What really gave me the runs and curry with Brock tonight was his little hits he would do on players after they disposed of the ball. He would have been better off chasing the player who had the ball instead of trying to be the tough guy and give an opponent a bump when they didn't have the ball.

Brown could have got 50 possessions and he still would have been useless. If you need proof that stats mean nothing, that was it. Collingwood let him play loose because they knew he wasn't damaging.

They are good ins, shame about Moloney. However, I would have liked to have seen Melbourne go all out this week, what with it being Neitz's 300th.

He sure was. Robertson, Neitz, Green and Petterd. That's a fair contingent.

Do you know when Neitz moved to Victoria?

I had no idea that Neitz was born in Tasmania.

The question that needs to be asked, is not what has Byron done, but what can he do? For some, the answer is not a lot. However, I still hold some faint hope that Byron can turn things back around.

I thought that Melbourne looked good with a forward line.

I want to see Byron play next year as much as anyone. However, there is still a BIG question mark over his fitness.

Davey is Melbourne's only small forward / crumbing forward. An underrated position IMO.

The fact is that Bizzell has been, still is and will continue to be a very good footballer. It's just sad that some people are blind to it.
