  1. It’s basically a way to try to generate jumper sales by having something new because the jumper hasn’t really changed much in the past few years (besides the IG logo replacing the New Balance one). It’s inoffensive but also unnecessary.
  2. Will be devastating to have Straight Sets Simon and Straight Sets Stinear together at the same time. We need the Dub to lift.
  3. Looks like Max is trying to improve the culture.
  4. I would go one step further and say team selection is the number one coaching issue we have. In 2022 we ran players into the ground (because we got away with it in 2021, maybe it was luck and maybe it was Burgess) while Casey players who were having an historic season couldn’t get a look in. In 2023 we constantly seemed to mess around with forward and backline structures (even putting injuries aside) which culminated in the worst coaching decision of all time by selecting Schache as sun over Hibberd and Grundy and not even playing him!
  5. I hope Schache is ok!
  6. Can’t blame him for wanting to leave.
  7. Underrated footballer / poster.
  8. Gawn more forward and Grundy into the ruck. Yes, Gawn’s kicking isn’t great but his contested marking forward was a huge issue for Carlton’s backline. I also would have had Petracca play forward more.
  9. A fit Ben Brown is still a huge asset.
  10. Bonus points to anyone who can find the post about Jimmy Toumpas and Caroline Wilson that Broden refers to.
  11. https://spotify.link/2tIBNZF6ODb
  12. Broden just mentioned Demonland in the latest episode, he's one of us*. *Sad nuffies
  13. Like this year?
  14. Regardless, he should have played in the finals and he should have been playing later in the season. Textbook mismanagement.
  15. With a flag on the line we don’t play an AA ruckman for fear of risking his trade (which we got peanuts for in the end) but instead we throw our prized midfielder into the ruck to risk injury (all while Schache sits unused in the bench). Absolutely I believe we would do that.
  16. Did we try? Looks like we gave up pretty quickly.
  17. He’ll do very well at Sydney, they again will be right up there in the mix to win a flag. What debacle it has been since he arrived at the club, getting him was not the issue (replacement for Jackson) but what we did (and didn’t do more importantly) with him while the team yet again went out in straight sets was a disgrace. We had Petracca in the ruck while Grundy sat in the stands.
  18. A lot of smoke around Petty wanting to go home.
  19. Better work on you forward craft, Tom!
  20. It will be interesting to see if Sydney use him in the ruck or instead just have no one in the ruck, or better still let their star midfielder take the ruck duties while Grundy sits in the stands uninjured.
  21. He had a purple patch in 2018 where for a while there he was playing like a top 5 player in the league.
  22. I knew I had forgotten one from the finals, you’re spot on.
  23. Fourth player since the 2021 Grand Final to swap between Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs. I still think he had a place in a run-with role while the likes of Noah Anderson and Butters tear us to shreds. Don’t blame him for leaving, will always be a Melbourne player and played a key role in the premiership.
  24. We would have smoked the Pies, if we chose the right team and if Maynard didn’t take Brayshaw out.
  25. His non-selection (omitted, not injured) in the Semi Final was just one of the more bizarre and disastrous selection decisions we have ever seen.
