I’m not at all unless Straight Sets Simon can get out of his own way and manage the list properly. Also as has been said many times before a total refocus on skills needs to happen. Too many slopppy players (Petracca and Hunter), poor kicking and just not doing the fundamentals well.

It’s been going on all year. It started with not playing Brown when he came back from injury, not playing JVR for a while there, constantly dropping Tomlinson and not playing a third tall defender, not playing Smith forward and now not playing Grundy and leaving a sub unused.

I’ll give this one a miss.

Straight Sets Simon has wasted yet another year through poor list management and team selection. Schache the sub and wasn’t even used, while we had ruck contests with no one going up and Grundy in the stands. Gawn totally exposed their backline with his marking when he was forward, we could have had a lot more of that with Grundy in the team. This is the least surprising result, lost at team selection yet again.

We are so bad at centre clearances. Viney was behind Cripps even before the ball was bounced and then slipped over right at the wrong time.

I don’t know the exact stats but I do know we went from having less marks than them to more in that quarter. Marking in finals football is key. More players who can take a mark (and ideally kick) please. Not sure why there is so much Tomlinson hate, he’s the reason Lever and May have done their jobs.

Again it’s our inability to mark the ball that results in a Carlton goal.

Pickett set the tone early by giving up the shot on goal Smith had early in the game. He will be suspended for his bump on Cripps and rightly so.

Not enough marking options, couldn’t see that coming…
