Again, an observation from the B&F.........not a friend told me, I have heard, a reliable source.....why was Clayton bouncing around at the B&F happily talking to supporters etc, Pert was there as well, if there was any genuine disgruntlement he could have not attended, as Trac did, and made an excuse.....he also put himself in the public eye at Caufield and answered the questions, some [censored] journalist felt like asking him in the off season and when he is trying to relax.
-
Er...focusses on the mongrel....have you not listened to the coaches or Tim Lamb lately, Kentfield "he is aggressive" JVR "another young player who likes the contest" etc etc
-
It is how it is critiqued. I thought both Sam and Josh Schache both lacked aggression in the contest, which again seems a prerequisite, and it is how I expressed it in my post, others prefer more derogatory critiques, playing the man?

Some keyboard warriors taking the opportunity to land a few kicks, pathetic on your part. In the draft there was supposedly 3 of the best young talls in a while, all pundits, commentators etc agreed, Josh Schache, Aaron Francis and Sam Weideman, all 3 went top 10, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Interestingly the knock on all 3 is aggression, perhaps the game evolved too quickly for them.

JVR 'one grab' depends on whether you have a gorilla hanging all over you. Jefferson....I have see a bunch of twigs with more meat on them than when Jefferson was drafted, they needed to build him up, now man size and I know for a fact he was told to start using it, hence the better end to the season. Turner and Petty, swing players, some teams only have one who can maybe do that, we are blessed with two, 3 if you count Tommy Mc Fullarton no regular AFL football, needs to improve, which he knows, has already seen what happened to Schache. Kentfield big and aggressive, just needs a full preseason, his progress, junior football, WAFL, VFL in less than a year, each a step up,

Sigh.....the start of PTDS post trade depression syndrome..... .
-
Yes, a bit like a poster on here saying we should make a play for Luke Parker (past use by date unfortunately) thankfully we didn't.
-
And who would you suggest, Stringer (Mr Hot and Cold)?

Does everybody realise there is only 15mins to go and Oliver hasn't been traded yet, what do we change the title of this thread to now, "Clickbaiters"
-
Unfortunately not, COVID [censored] all over my job, as discussed by Jake Melksham on an episode of Gus and Gawny, yes it was me who gave him the nickname Missile. Had to make my job permanent and take on more to achieve the same remuneration, don't ask, so random days off are a thing of the past. Still get the chance to chat to players at various functions etc, including the B&F

I love a good workshop, brainstorming, coming together in a collective headspace, creating synergy, creating a piece of work, aligning to same principles and all the rest...........

That's a good idea in principle, but unfortunately with the differing personalities there are some who need to consistently be right and accepted as being right, if not they will resort to personal attacks or degoratory remarks, such as delusional. I am guilty sometimes as I like to 'play' at their insecurities, but try to use humour, such as 'having a battle of wits with an unarmed person'. Myself, it is water of a duck's back, but can see how it can affect others or drive them off the board completely, which is disappointing, I went missing out of boredom with the negativity, but thought I would give it another try. Putting posters on ignore is the answer for some. There are so many pages on this thread because there are two camps of 'caring ' supporters, I use that word as I am sure they are both a small minority of the 60000 members. There are those that think a lot of the so called issues are just media beatups, like myself, the other camp thinking if there is smoke there must be fire, backed up by the media and pundits seeking clickbait, rumour, hearsay and 'a close contact told me'
-
Yes, you are right, I didn't hear them whining.
-
Also just reckon it feels like a bit of a token feelgood move to appease a rather small and vociferous angry and disenchanted supporter cohort (edit) I was with 300+ supporters at the B&F, I didn't sense any anger, even towards Roffey and Pert but then again there weren't many Demonlanders there or ones brave enough to speak to them face to face. Dependent on the role, if the rumours are true, I wouldn't mind Jonesy back at the club, a line coach may be a push, though he does have 300 games experience and played under 'many' coaches so he should know a bit.

9 Reasons to be Positive Heading into 2025
Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Simple answer, why get yourself beaten up in the media, by the supporters etc etc, just go back to being a supporter and enjoy the footy again, that is what I got from her speech at the B&F -
Schache was cover for Weideman, or a straight swap if you like, I assume he wasn't on a million a year, McAdam was not getting a regular game at the Crows and Billings had been sidelined also, a new full pre season after an end of year review will do them no harm. Laurie just needs consistency, issue was the yo yo ing.
-
Tom Morris as the source, right.
-
I do hope some posters are going to demand a review of the list management process, we can't have Tim Lamb doing things right, what would Demonland have to 'discuss'
-
That is very gallant of you, how will you be able to show your face in the playground now though?
-
-
Yes,, but they get derailed from the more important stuff, like other members of the Club's staff, trying to stop the noise created by the click baiters, better to stop it at one of the sources. If you look through many threads on this board, you can cross reference some of the comments to articles (which is me being polite) created by the click baiters, hence the experiment a couple of years ago.
-
Unfortunately that has always been this forum, as I have pointed out a few times, there is a small cohort on here who 'demand' that there opinion is correct, most times not backing up why, and if you don't agree you are delusional, a happy clapper etc etc. Easiest way to make sure you rule, is to bully others off the forum, or bore them to death so they take a break for a couple of years like I did. I returned hoping it had changed, how wrong I was, the same cohort still ruling the roost.
-
Of course the club monitors this site, there was another incident where the coaches were looking for a particular poster to have an open and frank discussion.
-
All this source nonsense reminds of an episode a few years ago when I used to attend training regularly. I discussed with the coaches, who were a bit sick of some of the interesting posts on here, and like myself looking for a bit of amusement so I posted something in a training report which was complete [censored] about a player. The next day there it was being reported by a so called journalist word for word.
