I take it you weren't at North Port oval on that day, I was, to actually get a clean possession was a bonus The best player for Casey that day was JKH, another whipping.boy Nobody is disagreeing he had a poor season and went missing in the Grand Final, a state in which he wasn't alone They lost the Grand Final because the superior ruck and midfield finally told, not because Jeff Garlett and others had a poor game -

It was in answer to a post saying Garlett needs perfect conditions to thrive, a la Sam Pang, but you can always take it out of context to make your point -

I aiways find it funny at training, some wear the hats but backwards, obviously not to keep the sun out of eyes, why bother? Clarry, Baker and Frost wear a family tub of sunscreen between them -

Similar, Greg Stafford didn't have Gawn, Preuss or Bradtke so he worked with Keilty and Weid, I reckon it will be after Xmas when most of the rehabbers will be back in action, that we will see the defined lines at training But then again Goody is a fan of versatility so we may see some 'interesting' choices -

So assume now Tyson and Hogan are gone, Omac is progressing, Garlett is going to be whipping boy de jour this year The conditions at North Port Oval for the prelim were atrocious, yet Garlett kicked the sealer, let's not let facts interfere yet again I am not a Garlett defender, he had a poor year last year, we know, he knows, working his [censored] off so as not to repeat it -

Noted ProDee, as I said Goodwin will pick the 22 fit and in form for Rd1, upto Garlett and every other player to be picked, they start monitoring training efforts from Day 1 of the pre season, I asked, so even if you are in rehab, you need to do what is required Weid, Petty, Garlett, Nibbler, Joel Smith and Fritsch standouts so far -

When I spoke to him said it was just an irritation more than anything, must have flared up after running Monday and decision to tidy it up, had a similar thing with my second op, just discomfort, went for same tidy up, no issues afterwards and was doing same workload as was military at that time -

Nah I was there, except half the squad wasn't, all the newbies including May etc in Alice Springs with Jones and Gawn Rest did a craft day, apart from rehabbers who were all out at different times, expect Gus to be 'news' item, out jogging laps on his own, had a camera and 'reporter' following him around ??? Craft session was really good, included a game of touch football, gave all the 'steppers' a chance to shine, Garlett had Nibbler on his [censored] without touching him with an inside out step, much to everybody else's amusement, write him off at your peril Jordan Lewis in magnificent nick for his 15th pre season, said he'd dropped a kilo and did a bit of extra work 'have to keep up' If we thought the competition for spots was fierce last year, this year will be a whole new level which can only benefit the team Spoke to the Academy 17 year olds, either I am shrinking, which happens with age, or we will soon be land of the giants, will post a pic later running in the big guys group, and they are both midfielders- 92 replies

Actually May managed to push Preuss off the line of the ball once My lovely lady can attest to the size of May close up after the incident yesterday and we are talking body size only??? she has left it to me to do the gun check???
-
Already had 2 ruck craft sessions in the open with Greg Stafford
-
Absolutely no chance of that, even Lewis with a squillion pre seasons under his belt was doing extra, was in last Friday As for the extra work over the break, every player has an individual program that goes all year round Weid obviously told he needs bit of extra weight so has been 'working' on it, assume once back 'under control' they will have another look Spoke to James Harmes after he finished his outside rehab, asked him what was planned for rest of day for him and he rattled it off
-
Another one who seems to have done extra in the break That will be post Xmas, apart from a couple of one on one drills, but that's usually mix and match, had Preuss and May doing battle
-
Bradtke is a project player with a capital P, assume they will concentrate on the ruck first up, he can kick goals, practices at training, so you could plonk him in the goal square Walker is another addition to the growing list of medium size players who can play anywhere,
-
Really good, made him laugh saying I was talking to a man now, reckon he is setting himself up for a big season, looking sharp every session

15 in the rehab group today, I asked, the majority expected to be ready to go post Xmas My lovely lady went for a walk to far side of oval, happily leaning on the fence to be greeted by the sight of Steven May charging directly at her chasing an errant kick, managed to apply the brakes at the fence, just, being a gentleman, apologised at the end the session for scaring the [censored] out of her Think he is out to prove himself, which is great to see, attacking every session, asked a couple of players, he was [censored] on Friday when a couple of players thought they could step around him, hence why he buried them Bradtke was again praised for a couple of nice kicks during the kicking drills, reports of his demise premature Great to see Bernie Vince back Only a couple of running drills, majority of the session, ball and craft work, great to see in early December Garlett in magnificent nick, obviously did heaps over the break Asked Weid, put on another 1 and 1/2 kilos of muscle over the break, another one who looks in great nick Any questions feel free
