  1. Keyboard warriors on Demonland....never....how could such a thing be allowed. Some track watchers, as in the past, have gone along to basically pick fault with anything they could, WCW adopted the same attitude as when I used to attend, chat to the players as human beings, surprisingly they seemed to respect that. Training is just that, training....if there is a dropped ball or missed kick, the player will practice that till it doesn't happen again.
  2. Content on where? I follow on Instagran, Facebook and Twitter, I get regular sponsor updates during the season, the website has quite a few articles, if posters could be arsed reading them. We have received regular communications, understand past few months we didn't want to give oxygen to some of the more rabid media. Brad has now cleared the air and stated facts to stop more rabid media. As of yesterday Joel Smith was no longer a Melb player, so no need to comment. The nit picking is tedious.
  3. A rocket for what? If you could be specific.
  4. The above are reports that may not align.....so possibly true, half true or completely untrue.. But let's put them out there Could you please name your source, whilst we are still on the first page on what will probably become a multi page topic based on?
  5. Depends on whether supporters could be arsed reading anything. Perfect example, I sponsor one of the younger players, until he made his debut, supporters would say who when they asked who I sponsored Most are only knowledgeable about the game on the weekend and whether the team wins, of course impacting their multi. I have plenty of communications fro the Club, about important things, not giving oxygen to media waffle
  6. We were entering the era of the modern player, shouting or openly criticising doesn't work. I sat directly behind him at a Darwin game, what he was saying made sense but not the way it was delivered. Another protege Scott, can't remember the surname, had the same issue at St Kilda.
  7. Favourite word, meaning- doesn't agree with Daz. actually Neeld was a good coach tactically but lost the players, tried to be Malthouse and that era had passed...why Malthouse was the disaster at Carlton. Element - trying to put an alternate viewpoint, and not being bullied or cowed by the small cohort who seem to think they rule this forum. Pert needs to be praised for what he did for this club, same with Roffey, it became inevitable both would be out....just to give Brad Green and the new Board some clear air. Hopefully the Footy Dept will get their [censored] together this year. Of course we shouldn’t expect or need both the new CEO and Board interfering with on field issues, the one concern I have with Steve Smith. Of course I am at a disadvantage as I don't have Morris, Barrett et al on my social media notifications, so I can't parrot their opinions, interestingly I form my own
  8. It is a quote, maybe he said they could have been handled better, didn't, say by whom, slightly different, but doesn't attract the same number of clicks
  9. I know it is Halloween, but smacks of Dracula checking in on the haemophiliac
  10. But did he actually say that, or journalistic license?
  11. Oh dear, had to make it personal again Daz, disappointed he' s gone, did some great things for club, thought it may be inevitable, give the club some clear air. Glad he will be still involved with Caulfield Of course something more disappointing and inevitable is some of the ungracious [censored] posted by some.
  12. So, what was there to communicate about? We were informed about the court cases. Some on here are seriously sad. It is better to not to give oxygen to media stories. Brad Green is communicating to clear the air from all the rubbish that has been floating around.
  13. What lines, supposition, guess work, probability, rumour?
  14. Yes please, but the original. Attach here rather than a link that may be blocked.
  15. What cloud, according to reports they both made the decision to leave, you mean the cloud that Barrett et al like to hang over the club. "supposedly"
  16. Not advocating, was just hoping (probably in vain with some of the 'supporters' on here) that his work and efforts would be recognised. As for Neeld, he was a Malthouse protege, some were hoping some of that 'magic' would wear off, unfortunately the game had moved on. Schwab had some great ideas, I know discussed a few with him, went about it the wrong way. Maybe and just maybe, try doing a bit of cold analysis before pontificating, it may surprise you in it's enlightenment.
  17. No, just a member and supporter of the MFC who knows how much work Pert has put into the club and deserves recognition for that effort, rather than the smug celebrating of his leaving from some.
  18. How the naysayers are dancing in the aisles, not willing to praise Pert and Roffey for the work they have done in the last few years. Pert like Roffey has done the right thing to assist the club, some clear air, there is probably a tinge of "who needs this [censored]" also. I am pleased he is staying on board looking at Caufield, he has put too much effort into it to just walk away. Can't wait to see how long the honeymoon period for the new permanent Chairman and CEO lasts on here.
  19. You really are a nasty piece of work aren't you, you have no idea the amount of work Pert has put into the club, he rubs some up the wrong way, but then again successful CEO do that.
  20. No, still communicate with Nev occasionally, tried but failed to convince him though. And the comment about Gus is what a couple of Club people have told me.....unless of course he would use it to help.....his speech at the B&F was raw
  21. Wow, comedy central, it will be Jones, Brayshaw finds it too mentally challenging to be involved with the club. I tried Nev, still has a year to go at the Pies, intend trying again next year.
  22. Don't you Edwin Starr at me 🤣 As an ex military personage, the comparison to war no matter the context is abhorrent.
  23. I think you need to get out more, obviously don't quite understand what the word 'war' means.
  24. Didn't realize you were the Sheriff of Semantics
