We picked the development coaches from successful Junior organisations, hence good at developing young players, but also developing tthem as well, Neeld obviously wants to be at MFC for a long time, so if Coach leaves we have a ready made ready to take next step The senior assistant coaches all played 150 odd AFL games, so must have been ok Neeld was taught by one of the best and he has Craig backing him up (Craig has probably forgotten more about coaching than the rest of us we even know) This is just twaddle Watched training yesterday, Royal was fine with the midfielders group, listened to what he had to say and carried it out to the letter

The Smear and Innuendo of Faceless Men
Satyriconhome replied to Dr. Gonzo's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think he is being disingenuous, I read it in full, it is another post that promises a lot and delivers little, you have only managed to muddy the waters even more and get the conspiracy theorists a little more excited I have spoken to most at the Club from Don McLardy downwards, asked a few questions, been given answers, am I to assume that i have been lied to on most things?- 22 replies

No 1). Posters need it in their life to mask their own inadequacies 2). No cracking the shits, more finding the constant negativity tiresome This topic is three pages of hot air in my humble opinion

The Smear and Innuendo of Faceless Men

So WJ it is nothing but hearsay at the moment, yet again, no wonder the Club is supposedly destabilised, posters on here can never leave it alone- 22 replies

And also the fact that maybe the Club has had a word, enuff of the attacks, so a little balance with a feelgood story about MFC, it is not only Eddie (in another topic), that is sick of the rubbish that is presented as journalism at the moment. Dawes has always come across as a very intelligent bloke, so it adds to the piece, good choice

New Poster - Fresh Meat - keyboards and vitriol at the ready
-
Just winding, already read it, wouldn't miss one ounce of your prose WYL, don't you think it's great the topic has only gone three pages and anomosity has broken out again, wonderful thing democracy....we have an A grade Midfielder, his name is Nathan Jones, we just need to get the young kids up to speed and Col Sylvia to realise how good he is on a regular basis
-
Just to make sure you are still reading them WYL, nice to see you are, and I miss Rangey, any comment on Dawes?
-
But not enough car park allocation
-
Don't read them then precious, didn't say that, that's how you interpret it, just following WYL's example, what insult, it was a statement, I don't have a very high opinion of most people under the age of 35 these days, too much "Give me" "I Want" for me. I do not believe the Club has got everything right, but Chris Dawes is one decision I think is, hence my post in this topic, difference between some and me, try to stay on topic If posters must continually post, in my humble opinion, untruths, rumour, lies, rubbish, strange theories, then as a Public Forum I have a right to be able to answer them. Don't post yourself if you can't handle it

So you read the newspapers and decided that was MFC strategy, there are many different forms of leadership, it is leadership in how you prepare yourself, how you survive through adversity, Rodan although not in the AFL side, led from the front for the VFL side on Saturday, that side was full of young MFC players, invaluable. Perhaps with you only finishing school in the 90's adversity is perhaps a word you are not familiar with. Also we drafted poorly?....we have had 2 guys in Viney and Matt Jones who have played all 4 games and Terlich who has played 3, come straight into the side, if we were winning, journalists would be drooling over them I like what Chris Dawes wrote, and the other thing I like, we could have panicked and put him in the team before he was ready or fully fit, the coaching staff and obviously Chris decided not to, leadership, frustrating for him as it must have been

Kent would replace either Bail. Evans or Tapscott, can't see it happening
-
Watched him live, he was better than the Essendon ruckman (don't know who it was) and this showed in the tap work, but it was all his other work, he was all over the ground, did one of his famous chases of a smaller player down the wing (which had contingent of Casey/MFC supporters applauding him when he came to the bench just after), did some good work when he was resting in the goal square, and defending Stats: Jake Spencer 10 kicks, 9 handballs, 19 disposals, 3 marks, 7 tackles, 36 hit outs, 0 goals, 1 behind. MFC website review Jake Spencer: Jake had a real impact on this game. His work ethic to compete in all aspects was really pleasing. He had 19 disposals, 37 hit outs, as well as six tackles, which was a great return, (slightly different stats) Again spoken to coaches about him, they just want him to develop his game when resting forward, this is only area they regard as 'lacking', Max Gawn has jump on him in this area

Why is Merrett playing up forward for the Lions, we putting a team of midgets in our forward line are we. There is also a pic on Twitter from 2 days ago with Sellar with a pressure bandage on his right calf so might be sore "Watts and Strauss squibbing",some posters must really watch the game through beer goggles, Watts did some excellent presure work last week without being caught out, going to ground etc, you don't have to crash and bash to create pressure, that is why some commentators use the words implied pressure....the coaches must see something we don't see whouldn't you say, one week out and straight back in. Also Strauss was excellent for Casey in the game I watched live The only in that I can put down as definite in my opinion is McKenzie

INJURY LIST - ROUND 5 - aka the Dave Misson Appreciation thread
Satyriconhome replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
Only you by the looks of it, follow the Club mantra, it will take time and the last place you will see the improvement is on the field.....this is a post about Misson and how his bit seems to be working -
INJURY LIST - ROUND 5 - aka the Dave Misson Appreciation thread

it doesn't always go back in again, hence my shoulder being pinned together -
INJURY LIST - ROUND 5 - aka the Dave Misson Appreciation thread
Satyriconhome replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
Re Stark, saw him at Windy Hill last week, he is over his injury just gave him the week off playing, then back at full tilt training, he explained.....young guy, rookie, still building him, no rush......alwyas on the side of caution.....Barry was the same.........why we only have 2 on the injury list -
Why, posters on here Why, posters on here still wouldn't be happy and would find something to whinge about

Who is going to take this club by the throat?
Satyriconhome replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
You just don't give up do you.....you really do sound like the old proverbial broken record, are you actually looking forward to us being on the bottom, it sounds like it, it you are, your situation is even sadder than I first thought ..the sponsor was replaced with a better one... How many times do you want to cover the in your opinion botched draft picks, can't you just move forward, every single club does it, tell you what go to Casey on Saturday night and watch young Jesse Hogan tear another defender a new one...that is the future, give the neck a bit of a rest from continually looking backwards What else would you like to "debate" and I use that term very loosely. -
Who is going to take this club by the throat?
Satyriconhome replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
In your rather jaundiced opinion, I supposed you expected the AFL to order us to either amalgamate with another Club or move interstate by now, you seem to hold more stead in what comes out of AFL HQ rather than your own Club, rather said state of affairs, sorry forgot and whatever Caroline Wilson deems as the truth as well -
Who is going to take this club by the throat?
Satyriconhome replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
The original point I was trying to make was to counter the inference that the present Board had stagnated, pointing out new members and new ideas had been brought in during the last five years. -
Who is going to take this club by the throat?
Satyriconhome replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
"Stability is the core yes"......so you want to make the Club unstable again by removing people, because in your opinion, and your opinion only, they are not the right people I have not seen you espouse on what this 'dynamic' is, I read your posts carefully WYL, it helps me knock holes in them, only seen this today On interpretation My interpretations might be wrong, but I am not the only one who misinterprets, that is the point I am making, it doesn't matter what is said/written it can be interpreted a thousand ways..............that is why the modern 4th Estate is so successful at stirring [censored], a lot of what they write is full of ambiguity -
Who is going to take this club by the throat?
Satyriconhome replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
You really are a sad case aren't you WYL, I asked you specific questions and as per usual you didn't answer them. You seem incapable of reading my posts correctly. I do not have blind faith, the only thing I want put in front of me are facts. Once I have facts I make my own decisions. At the moment we do not have any facts, simple really But sit behind your keyboard and keep banging on and on repeating the same tired old lines, that way we don't miss Rangey's insightful posts so much, did he leave you the script? I don' want or particularly seek praise for the volunteering I do, I use it as a tool to show that we are speaking constantly to members/supportes and we are not Club staff, but supporters and we get to hear what supporters/members really think, and I hate to tell you this WYL but you are in the minority. Most of them are the same, yes they want a few questions answered, but they are willing to wait to see what the result of the many investigations are before passling judgement I'll give you a clear example, I didn't think the sacking of Cam Schwab was warranted, but it happened and I understood why, so I have moved on, simple really Try it, you may find it a bit more rewarding than the negativity that seems to hang like a black cloud over you at the moment This is just footy after all -
Who is going to take this club by the throat?
Satyriconhome replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
I depends on who is reading and who interprets, that is my point 'most' becomes 'all' which becomes unhelpful, as Jack Jack has said why are we having the review?.....because the Board who are supposedly protecting their positions feel it is warranted, again interpretation.........topic/thread/post which do nothing except perpetuating half truths/rumours/innuendo/hearsay and downright lies
