  1. I have had a chat to both Hoges himself and the training staff, they expect him to play around the 100kg mark, he is around that now, if you watch the clip on the club website featuring the strength and conditioning coach you will hear how much thought goes into each player, Hoges' aerobic and running capacity has improved out of site this pre season, me I am pleased he is being given a break, has hardly missed a session all pre season, just freshen him up At every training session he gets a massage half way through the session to his back and hips, think it is more habit now and makes him 'feel ok', assume same happens at half time during games
  2. Correct, as for the ridiculous comment earlier about incorrectly adding bulk to his frame, it is carefully monitored to ensure it doesn't impact on aerobic capacity
  3. Probably the same one I had, put Demonland in and it autocorrected to discomknockerated sorry can't get to training found my weak spot , giving me money for extra shifts
  4. I have a tattoo of a unicorn on my arm, my partner loves them, I am still living off the brownie points it earnt me
  5. Hunt was told to concentrate on the defensive side of his game, being his first hitout. I asked him. Jesse Hogan was happy to play his role and not be the only goalkicking target. Asked Clayton Oliver how it was, reply "bloody awesome".
  6. If anyone is interested had a chat to Goodwin at family day, was disappointef with first quarter and a bit, mixture of nerves, rust and not playing ypour role, still stuck to competing though. Once coaches settled them down was pleased how team stuck .to gamecplan/style, still a bit of work to do, said everybody contributed and played their role.
  7. After speaking to a lot of the players last week, I expected us to be competitive after a slow start, same as intraclub, blow the cobwebs out and settle into gsme style if they stuck to it expected them to win some of the comments in the early parts of the thread were pathetic supporters? and Matt Jones say hi
  8. The whingers on here never cease to amaze/annoy etc me, it is the NAB Challenge, relax
  9. Starting to clean up the 'bits'.....rust finally falling off
  10. Playing as a team, sounds as if we are just losing the shape in a game enviroment, easily fixed
  11. My god, a young team having it's first hit out against a good team....sheesh.....stop watching or listening.......we are winning the clearances, once we get the next bit working we'll be ok
  12. Then I suggest you go and do something else and forget this season, you are only going to have a miserable year otherwise
  13. Then I suggest you go and do something else and forget this season, you are only going to have a miserable year otherwise
  14. Give it a rest and watch the game, you may be pleasantly surprised, I'm hoping to be, even though I am in work and can't watch
  15. No neither was I, top move by coaching staff
  16. I don't believe in honourable losses myself, they are just losses, but there is no 4 points on the line today, I just want to read/watch that the team performed in a competitive manner and took the game to Port, if we win good.....if we don't meh NAB Challenge practice game....you did read the reports from the 20/20 game at Simmonds last night
  17. The game is in Elizabeth, the cabling for the copper has probably gone walkabout the minute they set it up
  18. Gold what we need to see today...the first step forward
  19. A win is not important today, it is an opportunity for the players to show Roos and Goodwin we are on the right path, and if they do, what tweaks need to be done before the start of the season proper, season proper I haven't missed a home game for 7 years, but NAB Challenge, highlights and reports will do me.....(Geelong must be really concerned for the season ahead losing to the Pies yesterday)
  20. So it is verified coz they told you, like I was told something different by somebody close to the recruting team, my point
  21. Unless somebody posts and is either Jason Taylor, Todd Viney or Kelly O'Donnell then whatever is said is heresay, we are all entitled to post heresay, whether it is more or less credible than another poster......a drovers dog could provide the good oil on recruiting these days, it is all over the media before the fact
  22. Again, unless you are a recruiter, this is not verifiable, are you are recruiter?
  23. Yes of course, but we all have different avenues of information, it doesn't necessarily mean that mine was incorrect, also I would be staggered if a club didn't say that, but it is in the past now, I was only responding to another post
  24. That's not what I heard WJ, both Craig and Neeld were all for Toumpas, recruiters were leaning more towards Wines and putting up smokescreen so they could land him, they knew Port were hot for Wines, Viney was no fan of Neeld
