  1. Should the AFL be entering into agreements that will force supporters to pay for multiple streaming services.
  2. That's it isn't it. It's becoming the never ending story.
  3. I"ll think about it.
  4. I'll keep my powder dry in the Weid/TMac debate until after the game
  5. Couple of mistakes by GWS has let Saints in.
  6. Cold place near Scotland ?
  7. Well it is in Canberra
  8. Be interesting to see how Preuss goes tonight
  9. Hope Weid has a good game , but he needs to show he can play consistently at this level. People forget he was given a block of 5 games last year and pretty much got consistently worse until he was banished after the QB game.
  10. I think it's important to differentiate between abuse on the ground and abuse coming from over the fence
  11. It's simple, you can pontificate all you like about how the players should discipline themselves and how us supporters should view the game and subsequent decisions so as not to get upset. Bottom line it's a gross overaction and I can see a big push back coming from supporters.
  12. This doesn't surprise me at all and upon thinking about it surely most of the abuse at lower levels surely comes from over the fence and not on the ground and there's a good reason for this, lower leagues have the yellow/red card system. So we're trying to fix the over the fence abuse problem by stronger rules towards on field behaviour. typical AFL logic.
  13. Love the way you take the high ground regarding everything re umpires
  14. Agree to disagree, a refusal to a polite request from the player would then be disrespecting the player, it cuts both ways.
  15. Harris Andrews didn't "throw' his arms in the air, nor did he appear disrespectful.
  16. Sorry but you're wrong it's always been this way and no, players wouldn't always know what the decision was for and whether it was against a teammate
  17. Players should always be able to ask what a decision was for as long as they do it with respect.
  18. Players have always been allowed to ask what a decision was for, this penalising raising of the arms is such an over reaction. To me raising raising the arms in itself only implies" what was that for" it does not imply dissent or abuse. Should only be penalised if the player mouths off or becomes overly demonstrative. Current situation is a complete farce and will cause the umpires and the AFL more derision.
  19. This is becoming complete farce.
  20. And another
  21. Goal Hawthorn
  22. How's that ? Unsighted in the first half, and I could have got a kick in the second.
  23. Interesting different people's take on the game, for mine both were hardly sighted in the first half, then both elevated their game after half time. Both became useful contributors but nothing outstanding. It's fanciful that BBB wouldn't replace one of them, he's ahead every day of the week. I'll stick by this even if he doesn't get picked. For mine it's Weid out out, I believe TMac gives more consistency of effort than Weid who never seems to take the game on just hopes that the game comes to him.
  24. Two good games three and a half years apart sums it up for me.
  25. Thank god someone here sees how it is with the key forwards. Don't credit someone as creating a spillage when all they've done is drop a mark they should have taken
