But this is the Darcy Parish thread Red. I think its probably considered appropriate to discuss Parish here.- Darcy Parish
As above. Re read, and get back to me. Whats wrong with you people?- Darcy Parish
Tim, can you kindly point out where exactly in my post, that I state that I dont want us to draft the kid? I've looked a few times now, but i cant seem to find it. Someone posted about his looks, so i added a light hearted comment about it. Maybe you need to not take things so seriously.- Darcy Parish
ok ok, i know I will cop flak from the PCers, but omg, he is the epitome of how we have been viewed by the rest of the teams in the comp for 50 years. I hope the kid can seriously play, or fight like a thrashing machine, because he is going to be targeted every game he plays, just for the way he looks. Looks like a character straight out of a 70's Medieval movie. Can someone photoshop a shield and sword on him?- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM

Had a phone call last night from my nephew, with a story about Jesse being on the [censored] with his mates over in Perth. (He works with the mates father). I asked him to send the story to me so I could post it here, but seems he was too lazy. Gist was, Jesse was on the pizz, and making a "lad" of himself, as teenagers do when the are away with mates. In the fun, a folding chair found itself broken, and the finger was pointed at Hogan, who laughed, and told his mates that he could probably afford to replace it with a new one. "ya reckon im on peanuts do ya? haha" Jesse was very happy with life, and in particular, life at the Dees. If the nephew bothers to send me the story, I will post, providing there is nothing bad in it. He hears heaps about Hogan, from this bloke. faulty Thought I should post something about Jesse, as we seem to be getting off topic.- The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan

Ok, I guess at this point, any negative supporter opinions are worthless, so, with that in mind.......... Jake, thanks for choosing to accept the offer to play for the club that I support and love. I hope you can bring a determination to apply yourself to play at 100%, for 100% of game time, in 100% of the games we play. We are in desperate need of this application on our list. Once a trade is done, you are a Demon, for good or bad. Please, please help our team become a good one. faulty- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Wada, just, WADA I hate to see the bummers get any value from players who are about to be banned. They will be laughing their heads off with this trade. The delaying tactics, and stupidity from opposition recruiters, has really worked well for the cheating filth. *If by some chance they are found not guilty, I think he will be a handy player for us. Looks like we really are trying to rid ourselves of a soft underbelly, by bringing in competitors. Hope it works better for us, than it does for essedun.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Not a shot at you personally, but how could anyone trust the clubs judgement, with regards to a specific WADA outcome? WADA are not appealing for fun, or to fight a losing cause just to show the world that they will chase the accused all the way. They are appealing, bacause they feel that the essedun players are GUILTY of using illegal, performance enhancing drugs, which may end in a 2 year ban for all players involved. Melbournes heirachy cannot have any inside info, as this is not an episode orchestrated by the AFL, or its lackeys. If they are found not guilty, and we trade our third round pick for Milkman, then all is good, and I would be reasonably happy with that. BUT Trade anything higher, and have Melksham put out of the game for ANY length of time due to a guilty finding, and I would be up the front, leading the chorus of voices demanding that whoever orchestrated the trade, be run out of our club forever, and that includes the coach in waiting. Simply cannot believe that we are looking at anyone from essedun. And if the scummers actually did ask for first round pick and Howe, then I would settle for nothing less than pushing him through to the PSD, and giving a nice, oversized, lengthy middle finger to the filthy scum.- The Ollie Whines Lounge
Agree 100% Lam That line of thought needs to be applied to trades also. Ability under pressure is a non-negotiable in modern footy. Just ask the dorks.- The Ollie Whines Lounge
Im not sure he has the natural defensive instinct for a lockdown defensive role. Panics far too easily under pressure, and it would be intensified deep in defence. I think his only hope, is to gain a massive aerobic tank, and play the loose wingman/linkman role. I just dont think he has the game brain to be a very good player in any other role. Hope im wrong.- The Ollie Whines Lounge
Really? I just thought they finally found the correct position for him. I always thought his skills were quite sound, he just couldnt find enough of the ball as a forward. Was always a closet fan of Jetta. Loved his toughness, and fast, "play on" style. People like Grimes have never possessed that.- The Ollie Whines Lounge
I agree with Picket Fence on this. Wines - massive miss Toumpas - massive fail OK, none of us are full time recruiters, but Jimmy appears to me to have the same, "freeze like rabbit in a spotlight", as one ex co-captain. Deplorable disposal under even the smallest pressure. We have all seen people improve their disposal (N.Jones), and their physicality (Watts), but can anyone name a player who has improved out of sight, his awareness, game sense, and disposal under pressure? I cant think of anyone off the top of my head.- The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan

Got a call from my Perth based nephew last night, and asked him to post the info here so it didnt sound 3rd hand, but it seems he was too lazy, so i will do it myself. He was talking to a customer at work, and got onto the subject of footy. Of course being a Dees member, he had to talk about Hogan. Long story short, after mentioning to the guy that he hopes Freo and Methcoast keeps thier hands off, the guy replied with something along the lines of this......(paraphrasing) "Nah mate, my son is best mates with Hoges, and travelled over with about 15 other mates to watch him play his first game. He absolutely loves the Dees, and has said he intends to be a one club player. He is not leaving. No way" Anyway, made me smile. Hope that helps. Will try to get him to add anything of interest.- Neeld pours heat on Demons
No its not. He is lazy and soft. All the skills in the world, but will not allow body contact, and only gives half hearted chases. Would probably be in the top 10 players in the league if he gave 100% regardless of which way the ball was heading. And you are correct, I have no respect for that side of his game whatsoever.- Neeld pours heat on Demons
We are talking defensive pressure, not overall output. Liam provides as much as Russell Robertson did. If you think different, you are watching a different Liam Jurrah- Neeld pours heat on Demons
How long did our staff have to change Russell Robertson and Adam Yze? Robbo refused to chase until the end, and Yze remained Morton like in his defensive pressure for his entire career also. I know we have new coaches now, but the point I am trying to make is that leopards rarely do change their spots, regardless of how many brush strokes you might apply.- Neeld pours heat on Demons
Thats the bit i cant see happening. He NEVER pulls his weight for the team. Never, as in not ever. If he is not kicking goals out of his arz, he is contributing absolutely nothing to the team cause apart from making the other team commit a decent defender to him. I am against having decoys in the forward line who do not apply defensive pressure. I hope Neeld sees it the same way, as it needs to change.- Neeld pours heat on Demons
If Neeld refuses to buckle, and doesnt play blokes who refuse to chase their opponent, dont go in hard, or simply squib it, what sort of trade do you think we will get for Jurrah at the end of the year? I was at the essendon game this year, and a hard coach would not have played him in the seniors for the rest of the year. I was sickened by how gutless he was. Simply refuses to go body on body with anyone, regardless of size. I would love to see him playing for Casey, after a single performance like that.
