  1. See, this is the thing that [censored] me no end. Covid does not kill everyone that it infects. Why the hyperbole?
  2. Would love to know what your gut feel is based on. Bolton sure does appear to love his Tigers teammates.
  3. Pipedream, but yes, he is one of the most exciting players in the comp. What is it about the indigenous community that they can produce such a high percentage of amazing players? Bolton and a mature Pickett in our forward 50. Bloody hell.......
  4. I think that is exactly what I tried to say in the post you replied to deanox. May have been clumsy in explaining my position.
  5. It wont be a large crowd. And Politicians ALWAYS take note of protests, regardless of how insignificant individuals may think they are. So it's not ZERO. Might be very low %, but never zero.
  6. You guys might be reading me wrong. I agree that Covid is a serious illness and I really do wish that the vaccine rollout and hotel quarantine was handled much better. I also understand why some are desperate for the lockdowns to end. Is that really so hard to understand?
  7. Ah, the union movement has built its entire business on this very method. They are not all "imbeciles" (granted some my reach these heights). Many just want to keep their business open and pay their mortgage. And we don't get to choose what others think is a "good reason" to protest when their livelihood is being taken away.
  8. Surely you can see why many people are fed up with being locked up? Lost businesses, homes, families etc. And the vast majority of those people are at almost zero chance of dying from covid.
  9. Thats quite a good read from Waleed. Agree with almost all of it. I'm one of those who cancelled my first Astra Zeneca shot, something that my 80yr old parents have been up me about since I did it. Im totally against vaccination passports etc, but I will also line up willingly to get the jabs once my preferred vaccine is available (or the A.Z if my folks can browbeat me into it). Pity the poor bastards who are losing their lifes work over these lockdowns though. If only the A.Z jab didn't claim those poor peoples lives. And in the end, I can't really whine about it, because I'm one of the gun shy folk when it comes to A.Z Still think we should double down on the high risk age groups then open the country and tell people it's the jab or roulette.
  10. If everyone who wants a vaccination has had a vaccination come election time, they are just as likely to remember the lockdowns. Either way, every politician in the country will have us drowning in covid rhetoric whether w like it or not. Looking forward to an AFL season free of Government intervention some time around 2023 / 24
  11. To be fair, we will comfortably account for the dogs if the current pattern continues. We are so bloody schizophrenic.
  12. We need to think ourselves lucky that the finals are played by the top 8. Interesting to hear from anyone who doesn't think this is a mental thing. We murder Port away, then look like this against a horrible Hawthorn side. Gold Coast would think they are a serious chance next week, and Geelong / Bulldogs would be itching to get their hands on us again. Bloody confusing and exasperating.
  13. Please Vanders, smash the bastards at every opportunity. I will forgive a few errant kicks.
  14. It's MABIOR CHOL actually. I can see the Sudanese boys being overrepresented in the AFL in coming years, especially once they develop the innate game sense that comes with generations of playing the game. They certainly have the physical attributes that the game is moving towards.
  15. vandenBerg would be handy in a final against Geelong if they try their usual physical stuff. This is getting some miles into his fragile legs in preparation for a full-tilt run at a flag. Don't hate it, although it does nothing to improve our conversion rate up forward.
  16. Plenty of summer days available for a wedding. Except of course on the days including the draft, and the Community series games, oh, and any special training session where the new draftees appear. Come to think of it, a couple can skip the service and enjoy all the pitfalls of marriage by just living together and enjoying the footy, can't they?
  17. Of course the were "shocked" A bowler was called for throwing. He was labelled as a cheat. That is shocking to some.
  18. Hey Mr i KnOW WhAT i'M taLkIng aBouT That is Steve Waugh. And you CAN call a straightening arm from the bowlers end. It just means you are not looking at front foot call or the LBW line. Hair realised he was a cheat and decided he would call him for throwing. No conspiracy, just a blatant thrower. I also played darts once. I know what a throw is.
  19. Lees' arm bent during delivery as a type of hyperextension, Murali bent his arm like he was having a beer with his mates, then straightened it in order to bowl a leggie with an off break action. The law was meant to stop cheats, not to police hyperextensions. You talk like it was a racist conspiracy and that is just embarrassing.
  20. Because he was racist? Is that your concern?. And it was quite easy to call him for throwing from the bowlers end, because it was so blatant. He was a chucker who straightened his arm during delivery.
  21. Christ almighty. You are actually serious, aren't you? Get your facts right mate. Murali was an OFF BREAK bowler, who turned the ball the "wrong way" which is impossible to do without chucking it.
  22. Murali was the most blatent chucker in the history of cricket and was only "exonerated" because the ICC changed the rules to accommodate his cheating because of the bleating from the Sri Lankan officials. And of course, the inevitable cries of racism that accompanied their whining. Darrell Hair was right for calling a cheat a cheat.
  23. I would detest Spargo if he played for another side. He throws his head back every time he is tackled. Only consolation would be Spargs receiving a free kick to win a grand final fŕom staging against Hunter or the faux tough guy from Brisbane who can't kick. These head thrower-backerers and knee benderers really get my goat. Except Spargo. (Apart from the times he throws his head back. That really annoys me)
  24. Rex Hunt was an abomination as a commentator. Tim Lane the best. What a contrast.
  25. Please do not allow Clarkson to get his hands on all of Ports talent. I want at least one flag with our own list first.
