TICKETING: SF vs Carlton
Well I'll kick it off. Mrs Right Foot and I are heading down from Brisbane. I have a digital membership and I don't think that gives me access to early members tickets. Didn't have a problem when we went down to see the Hawthorn final a few years ago but this one looks like selling out. I was really hoping for a Sydney win last night. If anyone isn't going to use their codes, I would certainly appreciate the use of them for this game. Failing that, we are staying in Collins St. Can anyone recommend a good atmosphere pub around there that would be good to watch the game at. Thanks

Farewell Jayden Hunt
Dean Terlich was one of those players plucked from nowhere who had noticeable limitations, but gave his all every time he pulled on the jumper. Certainly didn't die wondering and gave it his best crack.

Who gets an extra week's rest?
Is that him on top?

Harley Reid
Or the AFL have told West Coast that North won't get a priority pick so they are safe getting Curtin at pick 2.

2 weeks in a row sides get done by the Goal Umps
If the AFL wasn't corupt, we would not have lost last week, and Carlton doubtful of making finals again. Cripps wouldn't have a Brownlow, after the disgraceful effort to give them as much assistance as possible last year in the final round. Collingwood would have to travel to Geelong. Geelong would have their salary cap and entire organisation audited by an independent body. The MRO/Tribunal would be consistent in their rulings regardless of club or status of player. The draft would be uncompromised and the academys a duty of the game not a leg up for who they want (I'm looking at you nthrn states and bulldogs and don't get me started on the rule change for salary dumping AFTER Geelong got to benefit). And worst of all, I wouldn't be loosing my love of the game!

Sounds like my day with Mrs RFS away. Except change fish and chips to Chinese and the Shiraz to a lovely Clare Valley Reisling. Let's hope tomorrow holds as many pleasures with a good win!

Farewell Brodie Grundy
I feel I also view the whole Grundy situation differently. Like many I thought the idea was to extend Max into the season and his career. But, I thought it was to allow Max to play more forward and Impact in the ruck when required. We know Max can produce match winning games in the ruck, but for a full season as the years get on will become much more difficult. I get that this requires both players to contribute in the forward line. I feel that it was decided that we were not getting enough from the combination forward and so Grundy was sent to freshen up and concentrate on some forward instructions. However, it isn't just Grundy's forward work that is the issue, but also Max. I think for the duo to work, Max needs to take more responsibility in the forward line, not Grundy becoming a forward. He needs to contribute when it's his turn but the main onus needs to be on Max's presence. Max needs to be better forward while Grundy is rucking. Then Max can be fresher for bursts and impact through the centre. This is as much on Max as it is on Grundy, and some great solo ruck games shouldn't hide that fact. We knew Max was great like that but it's a long season and he needs help. He won't last long shouldering the full load.

Max in for a Scan
Looks like me in my new club jumper. If I had a beard. And I was taller. A lot taller.....

I have to endorse Old's recommendation. The 15 yr old XO is lovely. Sorry Uncle, I'll put up with the wrath.

So that's where that picture comes from. Seen it reused many times on here without Clayton in it.
