  1. I love it when people pick at a spelling mistake while making one of their own. Makes the world seem more rite......
  2. Brisbane didn't gave a banner against us at the Gabba.
  3. I think he just typo'd 'ones'. Happens to me all the tame.
  4. Verrall's size is coming along nicely. Good prospect to follow with interest.
  5. I think the difference between WCE and Nth is astonishing.
  6. I always thought Melksham was the perfect sub; but, for Casey last week I didn't see anything defensive from him. Despite his numbers I thought he was lazy and not what I would like to see in the firsts. For what it's worth I also thought Spargo looked frustrated and out of touch. Needs some time to regain composure.
  7. I'm fully of the view the the player going for, getting and playing the ball should be protected. A bit sick of the snipers waiting off for a ball player to win the ball only to pile on and often the guy trying to make the play gets penalised. I love good tackling but primacy should always go with the ball player.
  8. I normally don't like to comment on umpires in our games, no matter how bad I feel it was, as I realise I'm coming from a biased point of view. But when I see the inconsistencies in games I have no investment in it says to me the issue is real. It is not umpires making mistakes, that can happen. It's when the inconsistency starts at crucial times in a game affecting momentum or stopping a run on etc that I get really annoyed and frustrated. There should never be a pile on to individual umpires but unless there are complaints about the collective nothing will change. There should be scrutiny on umpires as they are well paid, not full time, but we'll paid. That the AFL doesn't allow it is a huge part of the problem. Openess and scrutiny will improve the overall quality of umpiring and stop the AFLs collusion, real or perceived, of umpires to control outcomes of games. I'm of the view that they are instructed to keep results close or from blowing out where possible. I don't care if a free kick count is one sided, so long as the decisions are applied consistently.
  9. Hogan doesn't qualify? Albeit his early departure.
  10. I needed a laugh, like and facepalm emoji all for this one. Well done, with a headshake!!
  11. West Coast must really rate Harley Reid!!
  12. I think I heard on one of the footy shows or Sen yesterday that it will be Thursday.
  13. With the Rooey verdict, I can see an AFL backlash against us and expect a horrid run from the umpires this week as reprisal. If it was anyone but Hawthorn (or WCE) this week, I would be backing against us. Also expect some piddling negative stories in the media coming up. Yes, I don't trust the AFL HQ. "Viva la Roo!!"
  14. I say this seriously. How long before a player taking a mark is cited because his impact on his opponent caused a concussion.
  15. I agree re Brown. Thought Schache's intensity and effort was greater and would think he should be considered ahead of BBB. JS might make it but needs longer at Casey at this stage. If he stays fit and progressing he will be an interesting inclusion.
  16. Dazzle, I can't comment on Woey. Think there is lots to work with in Adams. Others said Howes played well, but to me I'm worried about his defensive work. I wonder if there is a better position for him than half back.
  17. Lots to work with. Look forward to watching him develop.
  18. Interesting, I thought he looked pretty weak today. Maybe a bit of a lack of power due to his back, but I wasn't overly impressed.
  19. Walk to and from the ground was superb. Must have missed the previous days rain.
  20. Last year was a cracking weather. Slipperiness would just have been the humidity.
