We were so busy clogging up our list that we did not leave a single spot in the pre-season draft to draft Jack Hannath who trained with us and was targetted to fill a need. How arragant/naive to think that other teams would sit back and wait for us to grab him as a rookie.

They won because they deserved to win and we didn't. Too many players did not put in and left it to the youngest guy in the side and a mature recruit who at least both appreciated that it was a priveledge [or used to be] to play for the Demons.

I would bring in Terlich as well and drop Nicholson and Sellar [for dropping those marks] ahead fof Dunn and Watts for the same reasons that Dr M. gave

Terlich you have right, but Dawes and McDonald as best VFL players? Good players yes but if you are picking best VFL players on form you would have Davey, Jetta and MacDonald! No argument about dropping Nicholson, Tapscott or Gillies after Saturday!

You haven't got Watts either in your team or out! As you have dropped four talls, why don't you leave him in for Magner who can't play as a rookie? Not sure about Fitzy, might be better to leave Garland in?

In fact I was impressed [without reading the dates] that some members were gracious enough to come out in support of Neeld while everybody else was kicking him whilst he was down!

My apologies. The rest of my observations stand however; it was not a good year last year [even though there were no repeats of 186].

When did we beat Adelaide last year? My recollection was that we only beat Essendon last year [apart from the newcomers, the Giants and the Suns, who both weren't there the year we 'tanked'], and we will be hard-pressed to beat them again next week even with massive changes. In effect, Neeld got us one win last year [against the teams that were there in 2007] and although we nearly beat Richmond they are a different outfit this year as well. Notwithstanding the previous comments, I have some faith in Neeld, Craig and Misson and let us hope that last weekend was an aberration and that Watts and co will be too embarassed and have too much pride to allow a repaet next Saturday! As BH stated it is not all the coaches fault by any means!

Even if MacDonald has a few dodgy disposals at least he fits within the criteria as 'a hard guy to play against' and he does intercept the ball in the backline.

I would put Terlich for Nicholson and keep Watts. Not sure Barry is quite ready for AFL yet but like to see Kent, Jetta get a run and a few guys go back. Hopefully McDonald and Dawes will be in next week and i am afraid that I would rather see MacDonald for Gillies [no matter what comments are made on here about his disposals at least he competes]!

You would have to be joking with some of these suggestions such as Barry for Watts!

How can we appeal something that we were cleared of. What we were fined for was bringing the AFL into disrepute which is exactly what we did again yesterday with our pitiful performance!

Sellar did show something during the NAB Cup with a five goal haul and a three goal haul. Who was the guy out there yesterday actually dropping two marks in front of goal? As for Nicholson and Gillies enough said (especially when they moved Gillies to full forward - what were they thinking?

The stats in the first quarter were far worse than this. For a long time they were five to one in their favour.

Obviously Blease stays but the point about [unfashionable] Davey and MacDonald coming back into the side along with Jetta is well-made. I was disapponted today with Nicho and as for Sellar dropping those two easy marks in front of goals in the first half it was unforgivable and kept us out of the game. Let us bring Terlich and Dawes in next week as well [and never move Gillies to full-forward again]. I cannot believe the demonlanders who said over the last two days that he was better for us than Rivers!

I'm 64 and was at the game today. I am not arguing!

Until Sellar can hold a mark we don't need him.

Why give Sellar another chance after those two dropped marks [in front of goals] in the first half? Also, is Trengove worthy quite yet? I would rather give Dunn another chance.

Gillies was moved to full foward! Why?

Why don't we wait and see how everybody plays today before second-guessing who might give way for Terlich?

Moloney kicked the first goal for Brisbane today on the run and was probably amongst their best players! Considering the fact that he was B&F in 2011 I don't know why everybody dismisses him on the basis of 2012?
