Umm. He wouldn’t be high on the wish list. Gippsland boy. The plus is he’s a good kick. After the last few weeks, I would be happy to have anyone that can kick the footy.

Anthony McDonald. 104 games his story McDonald played his early football in the VFL with Coburg and had stints at both the Carlton and Hawthorn reserves teams without being able to make for an AFL debut. He made his way to Melbourne as a draftee in 1996 draft and his league debut in 1997, McDonald was 24, but played 19 consecutive games from round four to round 22. He appeared in six finals at Melbourne, including the 2000 AFL Grand Final where, playing as a wingman. He retired in 2002 after 6 seasons at the Demons at the age of 30. -
Best Recruits from Other Clubs

@Supermercado 👏👏👏top marks Andrew Leoncelli. Played 146 games and was one of the nicest (and smartest) blokes you’d ever meet. his story Leoncelli was recruited by Carlton in the 1993 Pre-Season Draft, . Leoncelli was delisted from the senior list of Carlton and was offered a place on their supplementary list but found the club environment at Carlton overly focused on senior older more established players with junior development low on the clubs priority at that time. He decided to move on from the club at the end of 1994 when he moved to Brisbane to pursue in his education, where he studied law and commerce at the University of Queensland in St Lucia. Leoncelli lifted weights and ran to keep fit also playing soccer and some games of rugby union, but it was when he saw the Brisbane Lions training at his university that he realised how much he missed the game. He wrote David Parkin a letter saying he refused to believe he was finished at 19 years of age and to watch out for his return. He moved back to Melbourne then played amateur football for the Old Xaverians in 1995 winning the club best and fairest, playing state football for Victoria and winning the Victorian Amateur Football Association premiership. He finally made his league debut in 1996 with Melbourne. Playing in the midfield Leoncelli had a good 1997 season, finishing third in the Demons' best and fairest despite only playing 12 games because of a stress fracture. He built his game playing against the likes of Nicky Winmar, Peter Riccardi and Mark Ricciuto. In 1999 he had the most kicks in the Melbourne team and made the Victorian State of Originside. He was appointed deputy vice-captain for 2000 and played a vital role in Melbourne's finals series, but had an uncharacteristic disappointing game in the Grand Final. He had a flat 2001 season and at one stage was dropped, but followed up with a fine 2002 season. Leoncelli was forced into retirement late in 2003 at the age of 29, having played all of the 16 games up to that point. -

Gawn - tried all night. Was bashed and crashed into without support. He played with heart 6/10 Viney - crashed and smashed in but was off timing and couldn’t impact 6/10 (Viney on Reid at next meeting ffs) Salem - just back from injury, he got enough footy but poor decision making led to turnovers upfield or handballs to players under more pressure 6/10 McDonald- couldn’t run and couldn’t bend, heart is there but Goodwin erred hanging him onto Waterman 4/10 McVee - just does the right thing even against better opponents, safe with the footy as different to many others 7/10 May - had a battlers night and agree was lost without lever 5/10 Sparrow - looked slow and fumbled and turned over the footy and didn’t impact inside contest , poor overall 3/10 Brown - could not run and could not bend and simply evaded by defenders too easily it’s sad to see him like this. 1/10 Fritsch - did well with limited opportunities kicked 3 straight and battled on 7/10 Pickett - always looked dangerous but ran around in circles and missed 3 clear chances in 3rd qtr including poor left foot clangers 5/10 McAdam - looked unfit but also can see his footy smarts 3/10 Billings - Saints are laughing Saints are laughing Saints are laughing goalkicking yips continue Offered little to commend and tackling is non existent must go to Casey 3/10 Oliver - poor decision making and turnovers continue kicks helicopter kicks or handballs under pressure to players under more pressure heart still strong at the contest 5/10 Petracca - tried but didn’t influence game as he might Glimpses of his skill and strength only 5/10 Woewodin - sub again FFS Goodwin grow up Did ok job but needs to be given chance and worked into the contest 4/10 Neil-Bullen - he was clearly our best player 👏👏👏 worked hard at the contest under pressure all night but cracked in and got nice goal as reward 8/10 Petty - night to forget was outmarked all night and looked tired for some reason. Very disappointing again 2/10 Howes - tried but still looks like he could be tried up forward where he played as a junior 4/10 Windsor - looked like he needed a rest Tried to kick left foot on the run No! Was running freely into 50 and then stopping No! Take on the game and kick long on your right leg Still looks a great prospect 3/10 Chandler - tackles well as he’s always second to the footy Simply not performing as a small forward Looks like knee soreness restricts him 3/10 Bowey - oh no two bad turnovers cost goals his general play was solid interceptions were important 5/10 Rivers - wow he’s hot then cold Offers a lot of run and pace and strength but some crazy handballs to players under pressure Kick it long or to our players 4/10 Lever - we miss you Come back soon 🤞🤞 Fox footy coverage -commentary from hell. So biased all night. Horribly one sided like an “eagles members commentary subscription only” service. Fox Ffs. Goodwin. - outcoached AGAIN No forwards structure. Strategy on Reid … nil. Strategy to drag McGovern away from play … nil. Ask players why they handball to each other under more pressure… why ?? Overhandballing into trouble ? Try one handball one kick footy perhaps @binman feel free to discuss stats and any of the above comments and ratings -

Can’t run. Can’t bend. Can’t kick (now). Sad to see him go like this. Clearly not able to move freely and defense simply runs around him. BBB should retire or be saved for September (if we make it that far) -
@binman have to discuss strange “stat” is score from kick in. We struggled to get the ball outside defence. Eagles had scores on 5 from kickin and 4 down the middle corridor. 😡 No one realised they were attacking down the middle or having the full back run past to get the handball until it was too late !! 😡

Stats. EAGLES 105. Dees 70. Inside 50s. 36-57 😡 Goals from turnovers 1-11🤡 Clearances centre 13-15😡 kicking efficiency 57% vs 72%🤢🤢

No. Bad call. Jefferson needs another year at Casey. He’s only 19 and has shown little do far. Don’t get crazy !!!
-
Sorry dubdee but kozzzy seriously ran in circles most of the night. Turned in 360 degree circles and uses his left foot to spray the footy. Had 3 golden chances for goals in the 3rd quarter. Had some good moments like run and pass to McAdam. But not our best. Not even close.
-
Did anyone watch the Casey game ? Seriously only Sestan and Moniz-Wakefield would be capable. Both deserve a game. outs. Brown again, Petty, Billings, Lever (concussion) Chandler (knee) in. JVR. Langdon. Sestan. AMW. Tomlinson.
-
Surely you are joking ? 6 5 4 3 ANB - tried all night. Hit targets. Tackled like he meant it. 2 Fritsch. 3 quality goals 1 McVee. Tried his guys out all night apologies to Gawn the rest were seriously embarrassing the coach should be embarrassed
-
Horror show. embarrassed 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 Tmcd. Brown. Petty. Chandler. Sparrow. Billings. Salem. poor. Rivers. McAdam. Trac ok. Clarry. May. 👏ANB. Fritsch.

West coast commentary. All three are so biased to the eagles. Pavlich pro eagles. Schofield pro eagles.
