We should win, and potentially start building towards a respectable season
-
you would think if those two intended on leaving for big money they would pull their fingers out and have All Australian years and get considerable pay rise offers, right now i wouldn't really be that fussed if they left, sylvia played well against the eagles but has one good game every 10 and frawley just doesn't look interested If we are going to pull the club out of the hole it's in we need good characters, not people who aren't interested in anything more than the pay cheque

B N Jetta Pederson Garland HB Grimes McDonald Terlich C Watts M jones Bail HF Tapscott Frawley Trengove F Howe Clark Davey R Jamar Viney N jones I/c Blease Gawn Sylvia Sub evans why not throw things around abit, tell jack watts to back himself to do more damage than his opponent can the other way, his size alone drifting forward should scare his opponent into watching him closely and if he floats back and intercepts bonus, his strength is he reads the play well and he's athletic, lets throw him on a wing and see how he goes, with patton out mcdonald can play on cameron and frawley could be tried in the forward line, tall strong body who could come into the middle from centre half forward

we lose by 100 points each week atm, why the hell not throw it all around and see who can do what before neeld shows the door to the half of the list he missed in last years cleanout

It's time for Watts to leave - according to Barrett

How do you think he'd go in the ruck? -
If we got a coach like sheedy or Williams we could at the very least say " okay the problem isn't the dodgey coaches."

It's amazing how much of this is based on the first three rounds, i thought he would be All Australian this year on the half back flank based on last year and i still think he can have a big impact playing there, probably best to leave any decisions on watts til the end of the year. One would hope this young man would want to repay the faith we have already put in him. -

I'd expect most clubs have better ball users out of the back half than us so probably up forward -

Take that back, he's a free agent... but that sort of player anyway. -

If we were to entertain the idea of Trading Jack watts ( i hope we don't because he is only 22 and i thought he showed how good he can be in patches last year and this pre season) What would be a suitable trade? maybe to St Kilda for Nick dal santo who is out of contract? an elite midfielder with fantastic disposal who would thrill clark, dawes and hogan and be able to teach our younger mids alot a successful player at a strong club ( just what mark neeld likes ) -

Damien Barrett clearly doesn't like us and he makes no secret of it, as mark neeld said, jack watts was ill as well as out of form and that's why he was subbed, he is a confidence player who was feeling like crap and getting destroyed on the field, makes no sense to leave him out there. -
I really hope kent gets a run! reckon he will prove to be an absolute steal of this draft

I thought we were okay against westcoast in the 4th quarter, maybe it's more to do with getting in the right head space coming out of half time?
-
I actually think Tom scully has gone backwards a mile since he was at Melbourne, which is fantastic haha but it must be hard, if the players are drafted to collingwood they learn off swan, thomas, pendelbury,if it's geelong they learn off selwood, bartel, corey, enright, Being able to learn off stars of the game on a daily basis and having their support in the game would make a huge difference.

Last year after we beat the dons in round 9 i thought we were much better after that, if we can get off the duck i think we will improve alot in not very long. Can't see us losing to GWS if we play like we did in the first half against west coast,

Too early to say we stuffed up (again) in not picking Wines?

I still think Toumpas will be a better player in the long run, may take a year or two though -
Frawley and Sylvia in unconfirmed nightclub dust up
Ted Lasso replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
A team that has managed to find positives in a 94 point loss because there is nothing else positive does not need two of it's leaders out drinking so obviously, if it's true they need to be hit hard for it. -
If we don't win a game for the year as alot of people seem to be suggesting, we absolutely deserve a priority pick. hopefully not a tanking saga attached to this one though

Both players should be dropped for at least the next match. -
Watching Port Adelaide makes me want to cry!
Ted Lasso replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think our list has more unfulfilled talent than port's so a decent coach and stuff and we might well be able to improve just as rapidly
