Been so impressed with Gawn and Tapscott this year, so many of the younger players have been really impressive in patches
-
I'm not sure what pederson has done to be selected at all, and Nicholson the only thing i can think of is he may have the pace to go with the smalls of carlton, Strauss and kent i can see being in the next top 8 Dees side so it will be awesome to get some game time into them
-
Really happy they were hard earned games too, nothing gifted some signs of something remotely like culture creeping in reckon your interchange is about spot on too

http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2013-05-02/kent-ready-for-heat-in-the-kitchen- Good to see a bloke genuinely excited to play for Melbourne Football Club, well done to the young man!
-
Great to see a few boys knocking the door down to get into the team! well done dean kent and james strauss!
-
It's got the potential to turn very ugly for us so, my hope for this game is just a big effort from the boys, if we get beaten it's what everyone expects anyway but it would be really good to take it up to them for a good part of the game, give mick a few scares
-
I like it, good way to set it out!
-
Would be great for Kent and Taggert, being out there against Chris judd who i rate as close to the best mid i have ever seen, win lose or draw in the game those boys would learn alot, as would jack viney
-
Would be a great experience for viney to play against a judd or murphy, he might get beaten but he would learn alot, he reminds me abit of judd with his explosive pace out of a stoppage
-
Neeld said in his presser today a couple of the very young boys at casey would be very much in the frame for selection, i wonder who that would be? kent and strauss maybe?

Port are a good bit of hope for us, but people are different so i don't think outright copying their program would work, i think with port they have some elite midfield talent and Hinkly has just helped that along abit We have some great midfield talent but Trengove unfortunately has had injuries and things go wrong, and toumpas and viney are abit young, and they seem to lack the guidance of an elite mid, like a chris judd type to show them how to be that good i guess In terms of the fitness program it is about accepting it'll take time, i work in the fitness industry and i sort of understand where they are coming from, the players weren't just not fit enough if they were doing say 50% of an AFL level program under bailey, first year Neeld comes in and says okay this year it's 70% next year it's 85% and then it's a full program that takes it's toll on young bodies, so in that regard you could almost say the players will be no better than 90% as a default because of that until their bodies get used to the training that's required The bonus being that in 2014 we should be right to start an elite AFL program under mission regardless of whoever is coaching and still have quite a young talented list, especially if we are lucky enough to add a couple of mids through draft/FA/ trade
-
Nah, i am pretty against the idea of changing coaches again to be honest, Neeld may just not have the cattle to implement his on field plans yet. i'm sure if he was doing something drastically wrong, craig or viney or rawlings would be able to point it out fairly quickly given they have all been senior coaches at a time. As for the other comment, well maybe not, but it certainly wouldn't hurt would it? a pay rise and a job at your ideal organisation that you have idolised growing up might be a decent offer to some of these young men.
-
I think they have set themselves to match collingwood in this regard in three years, which they would consider to be an elite level program, the thing being that for us to be three years off that means bailey would have had his own program that clearly was not up to scratch such a tough pre season training could well be a factor in the players looking so sluggish, it may just be that we have to give that side of things the time it needs! but you can definitely see a colin sylvia starting to embrace the new attitude towards training and it's showing on the field with consistant football for the first time
-
Got a feeling Terlich might play more in the middle once he gets a bigger fitness base, he is very hard at the ball, strong body and has good skills, only real weakness is his decision making isn't always great but that will come with more games, expect him to be a good player for us for a long time.
-
Just as he starts to look good, maybe a couple of weeks off will do his mind some good, see if he is desperate to get back or not Everyone is expecting us to get belted, i wouldn't be happy but i'd accept 40 points and a good effort from the boys, a win would be fantastic but it would take our best game for the year by some way and carlton off their game abit
-
I want Sheedy or Mathews to coach us next year, failing that Mark Williams, convince them with the challenge of returning the oldest club to it's former glory and a nice pay cheque A coach like this would get some supporters that may have stopped watching football fired up again, god knows we need all the support we can get plus they would command the respect of the players and be a great help in terms of luring players from other clubs i want them to recruit some of the good young dees fans around the comp and get rid of some of the lazy sods, ( gaff, prestia and wines would be a nice start) watch jack grimes and jack viney, two dees fans full of passion and fight, exactly what we need Culture changing midfield coach, namely brett kirk or cameron ling 1 genuine superstar midfielder, pay him whatever we can but if we sign it would be fantastic

Great post buddy, there is a huge if your not with us you're wrong and we are going to completely ignore your opinion about this forum which is amusing, I'm sure Neeld has his plans, and anyone who doesn't understand them ( good number of people ) seems to be anti Neeld, but as you said this is going to take time nomatter what we do, we aren't going to sign one free agent and then boom top 4 next year, but i think a port type rise is on the cards as our list isn't that bad and we are capable of kicking big scores if we as much as break even out of the middle i would imagine we would be in most games for a long period because we are effective going forward the big concern for me is our skills, i am hoping it's just confidence because alot have been good users at one point or another. the structures and stuff should becoming more effective when the players actually have the fitness to play them Frawley should be the priority, if he does go we should chase mitch brown hard because unfortunately i don't think Tom mcdonald is near ready to hold that post alone Having said that i think we can convince chip

Jones in 24-25 not 100% sure, played 140 games, our best player really greatful to have him looking at this, he could play 300 games for our club and go down as a great by the end of his career hopefully in the next 140 he plays some finals

Suggestions of moving the Dee's to Tasmania
Ted Lasso replied to alias275's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lets move the oldest club in the comp and start a new one with it.... don't think it's at such a desperate point yet, just quietly -
I can't see Dal Santo leaving the saints, unless it's to go to a team in a premiership window. can't hurt to ask though
-
How much does it help trengove that it was a cream rather than injection, and during the off season? potentially cut or eliminate a possible suspension or it's not going to matter? Sorry if that's a stupid question.

Pretty disgusting :/ deserve whatever they get in my opinion
