  1. KK and ANB both need runs in the seconds. Useless.
  2. I completely agree, I started a thread about our inefficient game plan last year. Effectively wanting to see us spread, lead to space, and kick efficiently. However this is a changes thread, and O.Mc is simply no good. He gets out muscled easily, spoils when he should mark, and has a horrible kick in him. Preuss will provide a better hit up, as well as reduce any burden on Gawn and allow he and even T.Mc swing between the defence and up forward.
  3. During the week get the team onto two or three netball courts. Teach them how to create and subsequently lead into space. Because they clearly don't know how to open up a game via utilising space. Time and time again they run in ridiculous packs, with no one ahead of the ball, or god forbid if turned over one or two behind to defend.
  4. For the love of .... just get rid of Oscar McDonald Also put Preuss in the team.
  5. O.McDonald and Frost very lucky to hold their spots. With the addition of May, Preuss should have replaced one of them. Would reduce the targetting of Gawn, as well as allow him to float forward and back more freely.
  6. Charlie Curnow is the league's most overrated player.
  7. Mahoney bent over her again. He has no balls.
  8. Just get West Coast interested and watch Fremantle fold quick smart.
  9. Can someone make a few internet memes (to share on the social media sites)? Freo chase Hogan for the best part of four years to only pull out when asked for two first round picks (e.g. 5 and 11). Ironically they wanted nothing less than Pick 2 for Lachy Weller last year, who at best is worth an early second round pick.
  10. With Preuss coming in and Weideman pushing for selection, I don't see a problem. T. MacDonald can always rotate back. He'll be more capable than his brother.
  11. Freo demanded Pick#2 (2017) for Weller, what didid they expect we'd let Hogan go for? What a bunch biased armatures. Typical Fremantle, they just can't finish.
  12. I like the idea of swapping Tyson for Preuss. However, I only hope Mahoney and Co. push for a little more than a direct trade. Say start with a second-round pick, and settle with a third, or swap of a second and third. Alternatively, salary cap payment of Preuss. Why, because we know that Tyson is North's contingency to Gaff. I predict their salary cap savings won't roll over again (someone can clarify this, but is it two years non-fulfilled salary cap, 5% max, can roll over?). Furthermore, Tyson is a 100+ game player, former number three draft pick (if that means anything), while Preuss has only 8 games and is a former rookie selection. I presume one of the sides is currently pushing for a little more, which would explain the delay.
  13. Hahahaha so we are actually in agreeance. Thank you. Also yes, I couldn't agree with you more. There is significant upside and potential with regards to his age, talent, and relation price.
  14. As above, I don't mind targetting him, as long as it doesn't consume significant amounts of our time or draft currency during trade week. Now let's put it into perspective because far too many times I've seen the hype consume posters at this time of year (it's like listening to bitcoin talk in a cafe' at the end of 2017). Now don't give me that PR garbage about "I'll look at net gains and net losses" at the end of trade week. The players are scrutinised for every decision and execution during a match, so should the recruiting staff. Firstly, do you consider Kolodjashnij in the same league as T.Mitchell, O'Meara, Treloar, Adams (all a few years ago), and Shiel (who is potentially available and should be at the top of our list)? Secondly, if you're hyping up Kolodjashnij state what you think he's worth or at least in relation to those above. I've said a third-round pick, but in fairness, I could accept a late-second. That's where I rate, it's not that hard to do, what about you?
  15. Hahahaaa owe come on ProDee don't be like that On a serious note, what would you be willing to pay?
  16. I've also seen him play and didn't think much of him. As for being a GC player, I don't see it as an excuse. Shiel, Treoloar, Adams, Greene, Swallow, Prestia, and O'Meara were all in similar if not the same position and excelled in their early years. I do agree with your point regarding his age. I'm certainly not against targetting him. I'm just curious what you and everyone here considers reasonable payment?
  17. I don't see where the excitement comes from. He's significantly underperformed since entering the system, nothing excuses that (e.g. being a member of the G.C Suns). Third round pick at best.
  18. Considering Hogan is in contract, Freo or any club should be paying overs (none of the "fair trade" Mahoney rubbish). I'd expect at least two first round draft picks (inc. this year's pick 5) and a second round pick. Freo players are out of the question. Can't see us getting Neale, Fyfe, or to even a lesser extent Matera. Plus, they should be taking the full extent of his current salary cap (+ more if possible).
  19. Find replacements for Tyson and ANB while at it. They'll never be stars.
  20. I'd rather pass on Adelaide's Lynch. Signing T.McDonald should be much higher on the priority list. Not only do I think he's the better player but it's also beneficial for club culture. If the club sees a need to target an additional tall forward, out of fear Hogan may not re-sign next year, then do it properly and go for Gold Coast's Tom Lynch.
  21. I find it hilarious, especially after seeing the Essendon banner last weekend (snow joke). After watching the B-grade news tonight I threw a few quiet fist pumps in the air. That smart-ass infested club really is cementing their drug-related reputation.
  22. Agreed and well said.
  23. In hindsight there have been a lot of draftees I wish the club had taken, but I don't see Weideman as a mistake. As others have said, on draft night Weideman was deemed the potential steal of the draft. That year he endured injury-induced setback after setback, but when he played he was spectacular. For example, he convincingly beat the number one defender of his cohort, Aaron Francis (went pick #6), when they went head-to-head. He also was one of the best on ground players when he played a half of football against a VFL side. Finally, he had premiership captain next to his name from the year prior. Yes, Curnow looked sensational last night, and yes, I would like him at the Dees. But at the time of the draft he had just been arrested for drink driving and subsequently refusing to perform a breath test. He came across as a bad-boy, a meat-head, whatever you want to call him. The club obviously questioned his ability to commit to being a full-time professional athlete. Yes, we chose the "nice guy" who had, and still has, great potential. Sure, we could have selected the "mongrel", however, based on the facts available at the time that "mongrel" may potentially damage the culture of the club or have off-field issues such as Dayle Garlett or Jake Stringer.
  24. Am I the only one concerned that we picked a bloke the drinks a lot and goes out partying with Jaime Elliot? On a serious note, a great pick up and a credit to everyone involved at Casey.
