  1. Marty Hore, what an excellent find
  2. He hasn't had a single game in his now 6-year career where he's been BOG or at least turned a game on its head (e.g. Daniel Rioli). I'm all for targeting him, don't get me wrong, as long as it's not the focus of our next off-season. I'd rather see us go after, and justifiably pay more, for the out-of-contract Kelly who oozes "X-factor" "silk" and "class".
  3. Spargo spotted (alongside Stretch) in the airport this morning. Possibly a quick return post-injury, or at least named as an emergency.
  4. How would it be HUGE? He hasn't exactly set the world on fire. U18 potential stops once they're listed and constantly playing in the firsts.
  5. I wasn't keen on targeting KK when the likes of Shiel was available. I'm also underwhelmed by Jack Martin. Clearly, GC has a very poor development program as well as standards. It will probably take KK 12-months to get up to standard, same applies with May and his fitness (injuries aside). With that said, I don't mind the idea of targeting Martin, as long as the price is right. However, that never happens with "let's be friends and get the deal done" Mahoney. Also, I'd question the pursuit if the like of Josh Kelly was ignored. It's time we go hard and target these big names as opposed to these second or third rate players. The likes of Collingwood, Hawthorn, Richmond and Essendon continue to get it done (O'Meara, Mitchell, Treloar, Adams, Hoskin-Elliot, Prestia, Lynch, Smith, Shiel), why can't we.
  6. I followed this draft quite heavily. I, by memory, was under the impression we were to take him (most likely with the 41st pick that was used to get Keilty) but Brisbane scooped him.
  7. I completely agree, I started a thread about our inefficient game plan last year. Effectively wanting to see us spread, lead to space, and kick efficiently. However this is a changes thread, and O.Mc is simply no good. He gets out muscled easily, spoils when he should mark, and has a horrible kick in him. Preuss will provide a better hit up, as well as reduce any burden on Gawn and allow he and even T.Mc swing between the defence and up forward.
  8. During the week get the team onto two or three netball courts. Teach them how to create and subsequently lead into space. Because they clearly don't know how to open up a game via utilising space. Time and time again they run in ridiculous packs, with no one ahead of the ball, or god forbid if turned over one or two behind to defend.
  9. For the love of .... just get rid of Oscar McDonald Also put Preuss in the team.
  10. O.McDonald and Frost very lucky to hold their spots. With the addition of May, Preuss should have replaced one of them. Would reduce the targetting of Gawn, as well as allow him to float forward and back more freely.
  11. Charlie Curnow is the league's most overrated player.
  12. Agree. It just dragged on. Thought the same. It may have been the many second grabs, and average of one goal a game. Don't know why GC didn't go the King brothers.
  13. Does anyone know if it is going to be streamed through the AFL live app? I have nothing so far. Edit: with the live pass that is. Disregard, it's up.
  14. Lever didn't make the All-Australian squad. Bury your head in the sand as much as you want. Mahoney has poor negotiating skills.
  15. I don't care what anyone says, Mahoney cannot negotiate. He folded last year when he met Adelaide's demand of two first-round picks (for Lever), he also did it with Port Adelaide as we pay for some of Watts' salary. This year, yet again, he didn't stick to his guns and accepted the loss of Hogan and Pick 65 for pick 6 and 23 (arguably a more valuable player than Lever). He's just incapable of sticking to his guns and learning to manipulate the situation in his favour. Should he be sacked? No. He's managed the list well and done a good job at poaching/recruiting players. Do we need someone else to negotiate better trades during trade week? Yes.
  16. Mahoney bent over her again. He has no balls.
  17. As time goes on, Scully yet again shows he's one of those all-round sh*t blokes.
  18. Just get West Coast interested and watch Fremantle fold quick smart.
  19. Can someone make a few internet memes (to share on the social media sites)? Freo chase Hogan for the best part of four years to only pull out when asked for two first round picks (e.g. 5 and 11). Ironically they wanted nothing less than Pick 2 for Lachy Weller last year, who at best is worth an early second round pick.
  20. With Preuss coming in and Weideman pushing for selection, I don't see a problem. T. MacDonald can always rotate back. He'll be more capable than his brother.
  21. Freo demanded Pick#2 (2017) for Weller, what didid they expect we'd let Hogan go for? What a bunch biased armatures. Typical Fremantle, they just can't finish.
  22. I like the idea of swapping Tyson for Preuss. However, I only hope Mahoney and Co. push for a little more than a direct trade. Say start with a second-round pick, and settle with a third, or swap of a second and third. Alternatively, salary cap payment of Preuss. Why, because we know that Tyson is North's contingency to Gaff. I predict their salary cap savings won't roll over again (someone can clarify this, but is it two years non-fulfilled salary cap, 5% max, can roll over?). Furthermore, Tyson is a 100+ game player, former number three draft pick (if that means anything), while Preuss has only 8 games and is a former rookie selection. I presume one of the sides is currently pushing for a little more, which would explain the delay.
