Dean Kent, Aaron Vandenberg and Mitch Hannan
Frost has improved out of sight. Even his kicks have been hitting targets and hes lowering the eyes. Looks like a new player.

How far will we get?
I am laughing now. The name Meth Coast never fails to deliver a chuckle.

Mitch Hannan Signs on until 2020
Well done to Mitch. Took his opportunity with both hands and was a key factor in the win that got us to the finals for the first time in 12 years. 13 touches, 6 marks, 3 goals, great pressure and almost a couple of huge grabs. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets votes from the coaches. A dangerous player who will only get better. ?

Changes v GWS Giants
Garlett isnt coming in.. he was woeful vs the Swans and from all reports, woeful at Casey. Doubt he will even be on the list next year. We have enough small-mid creative forwards anyway... Hannan, Kent and Melksham a nice little trio indeed.

Losing Jack Viney
https://www.sen.com.au/news/2018/08/20/injured-demons-skipper-viney-will-be-cherry-ripe-for-first-final-goodwin/ Great news. Selection for the first final will be very interesting, especially if we beat GWS and all the mids perform well.

12 Long Painful Years Finals - At Last!!
Being the first team to ever lose to Freo in a final set us back 12 years. It was shameful. The current equivalent of that would be the first team to ever lose to Gold Coast in a final. Pray we are not that team or we might get wiped out for another decade.

My 3 word player analysis V West Coast
You got those two backwards. Petracca was fumbly and nervous..... Tyson played a very good game, his 4th on the trot.

Fenceology Predicts the ladder
@picket fence also says Gaff has no chance of coming to Melbourne. Thats a very good sign for us.

Best and Fairest Predictions (Top 10)
2018 was the year we finally broke through and made the finals... the Best and Fairest will be a very special night this year. We have had a lot of really good performers, it will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Oliver and Gawn the clear favourites to take home the trophy. Here's my top 10 ........ Winner - Max Gawn Runner up - Clayton Oliver Third - Angus Brayshaw Fourth - Tom McDonald Fifth - Jake Melksham Sixth - Jesse Hogan Seventh - James Harmes Eight - Nathan Jones Ninth - Neville Jetta Tenth - Christian Salem

Changes v GWS Giants
Talk of resting players is crazy..... a win here will mean a final vs Geelong at the MCG, a loss will possibly mean playing GWS again up in Sydney with the confidence they will take out of just having rolled us 12 or so days earlier and with Toby Greene and others coming back. We must hit this game at full steam. The season aint over yet!

In it to win it....
This is irrelevant as hes out obviously, but Lever would be so nice to have in the side in September. We can still win the flag though, and we will.

We have probably locked in a few Friday night games for 2019 now. Very exciting as we will finally get to see Roaming Brian in the Dees rooms.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 22
So glad he is back. Have always liked him and his early season form in the seniors was very good, even if only for a couple of games before he got hurt. And how about that clutch goal.. must have felt amazing for him.

79 years since Melbourne, Collingwood and Richmond played in a finals series
That is amazing.
-
Run home to Finals - 2018
Port beats Essendon by 201 points (240-39) Melbourne lose to GWS by 100 points (160-60) We would miss the finals by 0.1%

What they're saying over at Roberts Road
West Coast supporters complaining about umpiring when they have a +7 free kick average, by far the best in the comp and get handed a few wins every season from the home cooking. Their lack of self awareness is incredible.
