  1. Just got my membership package - 37th consecutive year as a member đŸ«  And it’s all Big Bob Johnson’s fault! If my then 8-year-old Dad hadn’t met Big Bob, and Dad’s mean sectarian grandmother hadn’t said ‘Johnson can’t be your favourite player, he’s a Catholic’ we wouldn’t be in this mess 😂
  2. That was not good. We wasted the footy

He’s barely in Collingwood’s best 23! And we already have a headbanded midget of questionable pace
  4. His mid-season man-bun was reason enough to give him the flick 😁

Really wish May phrased this differently. Difference between us and Collingwood is that they managed to win the close games when it mattered.

Cameron playing like Pig is out there

Thought Jordon had a rough run in & out of the side BUT you can't dispute that he had plateaued. Wish him luck but not devo at this announcement.
  8. One simple rule for Mad Mondays - keep your hands to yourself. Done.
  9. 2023 was not a great year for Naughton but he's a very good player. If he's an option we should seriously chase him.
  10. That’s the one I’m hunting for, the ‘unofficial’ third verse that would’ve been sung by the players.
  11. Calling all tragics & nuffies My Dad was a Big Bob Johnson fan boy and during the 80s used to hire Big Bob's lamb-on-a-spit for his cricket club fundraisers. He said Big Bob taught him and some fellow Demons the third verse of 'It's A Grand Old Flag'. Apparently it was most uncomplimentary to Collingwood 😁 Many years and beers have been and gone since then and Dad can't remember the words - has anyone else ever heard of the third verse?
  12. How can the football gods let this happen

Personally I think they gambled that Brown would get through the season. Unfortunately his knees are done.

The Grundy issue is totally on us. We thought we could magic him into Luke Jackson 2.0 and it didn’t work.
  15. Spargo can use the footy well but is slow and can’t kick further than 40m. To his credit he makes the most of what he’s got. Pickett has so many talents but this season he has plateaued. Against Carlton playing Pickett as the deep forward was a good move & nearly paid off. But like all small forwards, he can go missing for patches, he needs consistency. I’m firmly in the camp that you can’t have all three, Pickett, Spargo & Chandler, + ANB in the same forward half.

Not trying to start an argument - is it corruption or is it just that it’s amateur hour at the AFL? The technology is beyond a joke.

This was one of the many things that drove me crazy tonight
  18. Yep some horrible efforts in some one-on-one contests with Sidebottom
  19. Kinda poetic that a poorly executed simple pass resulted in Petty’s injury & stuffs up our forward structure. And then the cobbled together forward line can’t execute simple skills. Circle of life 😂
  20. He’ll get off. Then we’ll get to hear all the Collingwood idiots praising his toughness.
  21. THIS 👏👏👏 In soccer they can tell to the millimetre if someone is offside yet the AFL won’t pay for a goal line camera. If the technology was there & we’d lost so be it. But in this case we’re left wondering. The AFL bang on how how professional it is but are ok with games being decided using footage grainier than the Zapruder film
it’s a joke.
  22. It felt like that little [censored] Boomer killed us for 20 years 😁

It was a 20m pass, it should’ve hit a target. Unlike the rough forward entries of the first half, this one has done more than just hurt us on the scoreboard.
