  1. Jesse hogan had scans on his foot on Monday after a player landed on his foot in Perth.. All clear but in doubt for Saturday. Good news but How is this even possible. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-03-10/relief-for-dees-hogan
  2. Round 1 NAB Challenge. First game back. 30+ deg heat. No injuries. Tomorrow is Friday. Chill out.
  3. Agreed. With Vince in doubt for round 1 a wingman spot is up for grabs. Will be interesting to see who takes the chances they get in Perth. I recon it is a two horse race Between Toumpas and Stretch for that postiton.
  4. Because we know what to expect from them. Want to see what the new players can offer, and the NAB cup is great starting point. Probably should have put Mckenzie out for Bail or Jones
  5. Hoping Bail, M Jones and Spencer get cut from the squad. Would love to see what Vanderberg and Stretch have to offer.
  6. May the football gods look down on us and protect thou who wear the red and blue. Not but seriously looking forward to seeing Lumumba, Garlett, Hogan, hope Brayshaw gets a start but more importantly no injuries.
  7. No doubt he can play I do think he will hold his own but I am just stating how he looks from physical point of view from the sideline I doubt any one will debate with me and say he looks like an 88kg ready made mid. Hope he has a killer NAB round 1 but from what I have seen he will have few weeks at Casey and Roos will give him crack.
  8. I made the comparison to Tyson because they are similar height and playing similar role. Brayshaw is listed on the MFC site as 187cm and 88kg Tyson is listed as 186 cm and 81 kg. Go to training and try tell me Brayshaw does not look slender. Weight stats very deceiving.
  9. I seen one of the hits yesterday. More a knock to the jaw. Rawlings shouted 'get up Angus run it off'If they were concussions I be concerned, more body contact blows then concussions. He is in an under player who loves the contest Would not worry but from what I seen he will be playing at Casey first part of the year. Also does any one else think he looks small compared to other players? He is listed at 188cm and 88kg but looks thin in comparison to D Tyson.
  10. I have reports from a WCE paid official over in Perth (don't ask who) that they are extremely confident in getting Dean Kent over to Perth at seasons end. Have had scouts at preseason training multiple times and will monitor his progress this year and discuss and decide what he is worth to give up at seasons end. Take it as gospel or rumour but wanted to inform all you Demonlanders of what I heard.
  11. Relieved, he dominated today. Him and Hogan in cotton wool to round 1.
  12. Am I the only one concerned with reports Salem hurt his calf and was strapped? I missed it but any information would be good? Please no.
  13. Forgot to mention the chat between Dunny and Roos. Hogan going for ground ball in traffic and got collected while trying to pick it up at ground level. Dunn shouts 'He fuc$&in$ ducked' Roos Replies 'He is allowed to go for the fu$&in$' ball'' Quite humorous.
  14. Allot is probably wrong wording, I would say he had at least 6-8 touches in the simulation from where I could see and used it well every time. Was good in traffic and spread well. My observation.
  15. Few things I will mention from training won't go overboard but watched from far end goals on Olympic boulevard. So impressed with Salem in the backline, looked great. N Jones gave Garland then Dunn the biggest spray I have ever heard for turning the ball over coming out of the back line. Vanderberg looks huge but still has a bit to do in terms of footy smarts and running patterns. Gawn looks the fittest I have ever seen him. Newton looks solid and found it allot pencil him in for round 1 Stretch looks lively on the wing. Garlett just knows how to play and kick goals although Salem beat him one on one a few times.
  16. Colin Garland Surprised no one has mentioned this. Dropped from the leadership group and is a free agent at the end of the year. By all reports miles from the pack in terms of fitness. Alarm bells ringing? Will he be going? Thoughts ? Is it a loss if he goes?
  17. I'm still angry at the little rat for lying to me out the front of the G when I asked him the question if he was going.
  18. Watching Jack Grimes absolutely obliterated the field in that running test was inspirational to watch. 40+ crowd and all the players and staff giving him a round of applause. What this drill showed is who has heart, who is willing to push through the pain and also who is actually in the best shape right now. I was skeptical about Grimes in the side in 2015 but if I was a player I would walk prouder knowing he is next to me in the side. And I know Roos will have him in the best 22 in 15.
  19. T Mcdonald and N Jones mid group of runners.Bail. Dawes. Vince, Gawn. Brayshaw. Kent. Terlich all not involved.
  20. Jack Grimes just smashed the beep test running session, Followed by M Jones and Neal Bullen. Next group of guys Hogan, Viney and Toumpas. Jamar, Max King and Garlett all struggled.
  21. Does any one else think this is a concern going into 15 Jamar on the wrong side of 30 our starting ruck if all fit agreed? Gawn On the track fingers crossed he does full preseason and should be pushing for number 1 spot. Still unproven and allot of unknown about him still young in ruck terms. Then it thins out quickly. Spencer Okay tap ruck does some crash and bash stuff That's Its. Then we have Fitz Pedo who can pinch hit and young Maxy King. Are we one short or Are you guys happy with it? Rookie spot !
