What they are saying at Arden Street
Diamond_Jim replied to Bitter but optimistic's topic in Melbourne Demons
For years North were our bogey team. When we were notionally strong and they were mid table it was usually a loss. I'm not feeling much sympathy but I can understand their pique with losing Horne Francis -
Have we officially found our full forward?
Diamond_Jim replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
True but (is there not always a but) we might need to find a new May as well for 2025. At the same time Bulldogs desperately need new key backmen. It could be a hard search -
Think ahead W.... 6 weeks from now is when he's needed at his prime You have a $1M per year AA ruckman in the Reserves

This post is quite reasoned but has that touch of despair that we MFC fans know so well.... I can't take the blatant cheating, it's too much. It was terrible coaching and team selection. How JR8 can continue to play is beyond me, he is offering nothing. Why wasn't Cumberland selected after kicking 6 last week? We are screaming out for goal kickers and he is not there. Banks made too many errors, we need to give Hugo a run of games. Pickett needs to go back to the wing, Ross on the other wing and I would play KMac as a forward he would be 1000x better than Jack. Cotch can retire himself now he has been average It's season over, I can't see us winning many games from here on.

Not a bad day predicted for Hobart next Sunday 15 degrees and winds of 15-20kph... very little if any rain
-
Well They certainly don't like the umpires and the coach aka Mini is on the nose (mention of not having a plan B....where have we heard that before)
-
Very much agree. It's an obvious move and one we complained about when not made last year. A harder decision would be resting May and playing Tomlinson and Smith down back. I'd give Schache a go as sub simply because he covers back and forward and ruck (not fantastically well perhaps) Harmes, Hibberd, Spargo Jordon Woewodin... I'll leave to the selection committee

Yes Bitters.... that game went a long way to helping solve the forward conundrum I will enjoy the replay
-
I'm singing the song now.... Tough day as a supporter but goo day for the team in 2023
-
Let's go..... PLEASE
-
So much for doing what good teams do
-
wobbling

Keep it up guys
-
JVR and Petty.... wow now for the small forwards please
-
working ok in Asia
-
what a fun game
-
Not many positives out of that game. Williamstown's stronger bodies resulted in a number of contested marks and their forward entry had better system. Three goals from free kicks in that first quarter didn't help
-
Casey outmarked all game
-
Casey gone to sleep and the birds are now in front
-
Grundy outmarked in the pack easily from that kick out
-
O Schache !!! Why was there not a free forward
-
free kicks galore 3 goals from free kicks to the birds
-
Casey midfield being dominated by Seagulls
-
And Casey get their first inside 50 after ten minutes
-
Wind ruining the game from a skills level. Casey need to run the ball against the wind but so far just high kicks
