  1. Was thinking this yesterday. He certainly seems to get the ball more often than Charlie did in 2023 but perhaps Charlie had more reliable disposal. I think Charlie will find it difficult to regain his spot assuming no injuries to his competitors. I'd be looking at Hunter as an impact sub assuming he can improve his speed and kicking style (low bullets). Not really sure what other role there is for him
  2. Some big "8" point games this weekend. From an MFC viewpoint I think it best to look for an outcome that reduces the number of top 4 contenders (as Stu says above) On that basis I'm hoping for wins to Geelong Sydney GWS and Adelaide Another very big game for us Seems such an overly long season although in reality it's simply that at this stage of our "window" it's all about the finals series with the Home and Away being a necessary prelude. (This must be what Hawthorn supporters perhaps felt.)
  3. Definitely a key forward. He's almost their version of Fritsch based on goals scored. A quiet achiever
  4. We have a Friday evening (5pm) game against Carlton at Princes Park. Could answer a few questions as many players will be available that did not play in the game against Williamstown
  5. A bit tough... Ideally you want to add two youngsters per year to the best 22. In 2023 we did that with JVR and McVee. This year Windsor has been added and Chandler should cement his spot. What we haven't done since the magnificent 2019 draft of Jackson, Pickett and Rivers is hit that seam of gold which just drives a team to greater heights. Then again few clubs have
  6. Definitely interesting that he spent so much time on the bench after being inserted into the game at the 3 minute mark of the last quarter. While I don't necessarily agree perhaps they will prefer a more mature player like Hunter as the sub this week. Carlton, Sydney, GWS and the Pies plus the Eagles in Perth (no pushover on recent form) what a hard run !!
  7. Agree... he is a valuable link player who has decent upside and seems to get around 14 possessions per game. I don't see that in Laurie and I'm not sold on Woewodin although he had a better game on Saturday night
  8. Just noticed that the youtube video had 750 Million views
  9. Saints and Suns What might have been for the King twins
  10. Agree It's a difficult balancing act not made easier by the competition make up. Have often wondered if you were a non AFL fringe player who would you prefer to play for. A stand alone club where your selection is on merit or an AFL aligned club where your selection is based mainly on how many injured or hold overs there are in the AFL team. Enjoyable match today which did many of the AFL youngsters no harm in the development stakes
  11. Two great chances there for one behind A much better effort since half time
  12. Fullarton is pushing for a game but you wouldn't pick him based on today's effort
  13. Boy George to Jefferson Airplane GOAL
  14. These umps don't like paying insufficient intent. Think that's the third one that would have been paid at AFL level
  15. White is such a contributor
  16. Boy George strikes again... Nice assist by Tholstrup
  17. Judging by the way the trees are moving there's a fair cross ground wind
  18. Peel Thunder Is Fullarton playing. Don't think I've heard him called
  19. Hard to watch to say the least as a comedy turnover gives Willy another goal on the rebound
  20. Roy/Boy George strikes for Casey
  21. Jefferson outbodied and outmarked one on one on the Tomlinson kick out. Not a great sign
  22. went away for a few minutes and.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  23. Tholstrup and K Brown got a bit of the ball but really didn't do much with it. AMW with a few flashes Could have been worse Don't think McAdam had a touch
  24. Bad handpass by Tomlinson and Seagulls scramble forward for a goal
