For those who worry about the view across the track there are now tracks where the far side cannot be seen from the stands and you simply watch the big screen. How many racegoers really see the far side these days?

Trade while he has strong value. We'd get our money back effectively. The only alternative is bye Max which no one wants and we must not do. Recruit utility forward relief ruck at mediium cost (a younger TMac) and hopefully get seasons 24 and 25 out of Max. Fast track Verral in 24 for use in 25 The present set up won't work and we are paying big money for the combo even with Pie's contribution

Seven out for Port in their game against the Blues The rest period has started

Thanks Kev a great info source Looks like only Canada at Olympic Park. Morocco at Werribee and Jamaica at the State soccer centre in Northcote. I assume Olympic Park and the rectangular stadium are different venues PS can you imagine playing soccer in Dunedin in July It makes Hobart look tropical !!!

Not interested in him but very interested in what approach Eagles will use to get out of their present doldrums. My guess is that the Eagles Board will have set finals in three years as the minimum measure. Like Geelong they are not used to losing year after year. Trade season could be very lively this year

way too much like the canned applause that we suffered through covid. Was not a fan... but I understand your thought process Perhaps on Friday night I should just put Take me Home Country Road on perpetual repeat... now that would be torture
-
I think they would do the salary deal (it's only for one year) but pick would need to be in the 20-30 range Eagles also have to make big calls on McGovern and Natanui Hard to understand why they weren't more interested in Luke Jackson last year

With the KP capacity being 40k from Round 1 next year ... now ... is the time to be lobbying. The added question is why Geelong may still play 3 rounds at the MCG It was marketed as supporting their Melbourne base but why not make 2 or even 3 at Docklands The 3 perennial highway travelling clubs would have the support of the interstate clubs (9 votes) to introduce a random element to which teams play at Geelong

Gaff has got another year of his $1M a year approx deal to go. Will be interesting if WCE give away a pick rather than take a salary dump of around $400k

Watched the Scottish FA cup between Celtic and whoever a month or so ago. They had problems with the sound for the first half on kayo so I only got crowd noise. Magnificent way to watch a game Unfortunately the commentary came back in the second half but even so they were far less intrusive than channel 7

Thanks for that In his week at Casey I was disappointed they didn't give him a half either forward or more central. We never seem to think out of the box at Casey as players are continually pigeon holed. Another example might be Howes forward as he has the makings of a reliable back up player at either end

strangely enough it cold be our saviour but none predicted Can we keep the lions to less than 8:12 because 10 goals is our maximum
-
MCC simply need to guarantee the $$$ and it would be moved overnight $$$ is the only thing that will move the Cats and the AFL though having regard to Geelong's coach I expect he's made his thoughts clear
-
tend to agree While both teams are beatable on a given day they have the consistency which combined with the double chance that should see them through. Collingwood's performance for 6 plus weeks without a recognized ruckman was amazing
-
Winning in the next few weeks means with losses by the teams around us means we can start planning for finals by resting and rotating players. Hell we might even play around with the forward line not to mention the dynamic ruck duo. Lose and each week becomes a struggle for survival. Lions winnning means all 3 teams above us can coast
-
You have to score to win. At present scoring is our weakest area and it doesn't seem to be improving. Not a fan of Petty forward but I'm willing to try Tomlinson back and Petty in the CHF role. Desperate times etc
-
you're probably right but we're starting to get desperate as usual. It is widely reported that Schache was upset at being dropped from the Bulldogs when Ugle Hagen was given an extended run of games. At least he doesn't have a similar complaint at the Dees. BTW I did see him make at least one tackle stick today
-
Go Blues Is there anything worse than having a hundred plus thousand Bomber supporters eyeing off our fourth position. We'd better win next week for my sanity
-
Another Casey conundrum A good win but few stand outs. Liked Verral... he was well beaten but maybe there's something there Laurie and Chandler were disappointing JVR.. just okay Schache... maybe but is he just too good for VFl but..... Tomlinson ?? Campbell for Sandy was the stand out player

Best Casey chain of the day Good mark to Jefferson from a Harmes kick who misses
-
Another goal to Casey but not quite clicking
-
Harmes kick into the 50 lacked quality to say the least or was it our forwards not leading to space
-
Not thrilled with Smith as the sub. In the days of the injury sub he would have been better. Harmes or Melksham are probably better subs if you are looking for fresh legs
-
Schache definitely putting up his hand for the Fritsch position
-
2 good marks to Jefferson Not many previous touches
