  1. Given that it is an Easter Sunday game I wouldn't think the crowd would be huge by any means. It has a seating capacity of 13.5k and another 2k standing (if allowed) and the ACT allows 100% capacity
  2. Just looked at our run home.. horrendous to say the least would be good if a few of those 7-12 teams were out of the running early. GWS is one of them. Loss today and fingers crossed another loss next week would severely dent their chances. Who are the others.... Hawks and Sydney come to mind. Freo perhaps along with Carlton
  3. a very disappointing crowd.
  4. Salem Oliver Langdon Pickett Petracca Jones PS after the first two very hard given the all round team performance. Had Fritsch kicked straight he would be 2 or 3.
  5. No change Probably the best team performance in the last 4-5 years. Not one passenger
  6. yep.... what's more the behinds score gives me big hope for improvement !!
  7. mmmm not exactly straight kicking Woweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Upside
  8. perhaps we could offer Anna to save Qld football !!
  9. does roof shut = masks?
  10. Hope Goodwin has a plan. Last year he didn't and luckily they missed some easy ones giving us a one point win. We're two decent forwards short of a working team. A win would be a pleasant surprise
  11. The Privacy laws are well intended and necessary to prevent many abuses but boy have they made so many aspects of daily life difficult. On a more practical note the QR code has nowhere near the same info that the ticketseller has so you would think a small amendment to their T's and C's for football admission would solve the problem.
  12. Since '64 MFC have never had a season where we have done it easily. Eevn in the relative glory days (87-2004?) we would always require a late season surge to make up for an earlier slump. Have often wondered what it must be like to barrack for a team where your greatest concern is whether you will finish 1,2 or 3. I supsect I will continue wondering
  13. For a crowd of 50k my TV observations were that the crowd was well dispersed around the ground so the algorithm worked well. Will be interesting to see how the often empty Medallion area is used for our Saturday night game
  14. Prefer a draw tonight but if not probably a Pies win Could not stand a Carlton bandwagon Bulldogs and Eagles could be interesting... in a non covid world I would probably have gone along... nice 32k crowd at Docklands
  15. It doesn't change much 14 gets you well into the 5-8 group 13 gets you into 6-8 12 gets you 7-10 Frankly I want 17....
  16. Mitch Brown.. out for a week and Joel Smith appears !!
  17. 'Tis but a flesh wound.... Dangerfield's lawyer has encouraged the jury not to place too much stock in the fact Kelly suffered a broken nose. "How many players have you played with who have played with broken noses?" he asks. He argues the nose is a "sensitive and vulnerable part of the body" and "the broken nose tends to show us the site of the accidental contact between heads" but is not an indicator of impact.
  18. Unfortunately the ability to track who sat where is an integral part of the covid plan and is used to justify the large crowd numbers. Certainly won't change before the bye but fingers crossed for the second half Perhaps however sitting in your reserved seats will be allowed as they can be tracked
  19. Petty played well down back in the Casey game (see match report). Is there room for him up forward? https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/886758
  20. agree but is there a forward spot perhaps?
  21. Petty called oot for special mention ... Is there a spot and where against the saints
  22. the covid plan seems to be about pods in the sense that you construct a pod of say 40-50 and then have a gap between the next pod. Each pod can contain strangers but the rationale is that infection is limited to the pod. Works okay at 50% but gets harder at 75%. Conversely at 20% like our game on Saturday the pod system can create unneccesary crowding Blame the computer algorithms that the ground manager is using. It was ridiculous to see level 4 unoccupied. Even level 3 was sparse.
  23. Yep we win if we kick straight and they don't. BTW Freo missed several easy ones
  24. Norf will go almost winless throughout the season. and we are lucky enough to get them in a Hobart blizzard. I hope the Tassie study looks at who will play the new team if any in Tassie. Like the trip to Geelong will we be the usual default Melbourne based bunny
  25. They never cared about winning the tap might be more correct.
