  1. Not sure that an Eagle's win is in our long term (September) interest but I can understand the sentiment
  2. Do we play North again.. if so beware the switch
  3. Has always been one of my favourites... Having a very solid year. Well done on the 100
  4. Followed the bulldogs game last night via the AFL app on my phone. Would usually do it on the website using my laptop. The app was much better in that comments are provided along with goalkickers etc compared to the web where you only have the timeline strange that they are so different
  5. not in the AFL's interest to look too closely
  6. if that is right we should be jumping for joy from a financial viewpoint. A crowd of that size is worth very big money under the old system
  7. wonder if Casey radio will return this year. A great addition to the game and they covered a few away games as well.
  8. was thinking of going but the stand being closed and no other seats plus the credit card booking makes it unattractive. Will dip in and out of the TV on the Geelong game instead. Looking forward to getting back to Coburg or even Windy Hill
  9. No stress game tonight. Expecting a loss but would love a win. Hopefully a nice piece of preparation for the main games in September
  10. Hard to believe.... if he was subbed out he would be out for the next round as well. Just cannot see him being risked if there was doubt
  11. Lot of logic there Memories of those early season selections in 2020. mmmmm
  12. strange sub choice... Then again what is the correct sub choice... a medium/tall or a midfielder type
  13. Fritsch' availablity was unexpected. Interesting selection but perhaps understandable for a night game. Wonder if they were tempted to play M Brown one more time. Jordon can consider hmself lucky Did we ever confrm whether Petty was or was not injured?
  14. Freo game likely to go ahead but no crowds. Could impact our North game the following week though if things go haywire. Tassie like WA very strict. In short...who knows
  15. Forecast for match day not up on the BOM site yet but next Thursday is looking almost balmy by Hobart standards.. 20 and light winds. If that holds North are no chance
  16. I got all 9 last week I think. (It wasn't hard) This week is medium to slightly hard in the level of difficulty Bulldogs ( would love a GWS win) Geelong ( a hard one but at Kardinia Park they should win) Swans ( GCS could upset but I doubt it) Lions MFC ( of course) Freo Hawks ( Crows for those who want a value pick especially if cold and windy in Tassie) Pies(should win but who knows) Port
  17. Agree... he is a prime candidate for trading at year's end. Getting his salary off the books and perhaps a player or pick in return is a big turnaround from a few months ago.
  18. strange you can have 85% at the MCG but only 75% at Docklands
  19. yep knock down the old stand and MCG size oval
  20. Richmond have a big redevelopment plan in before the council. Will be interesting to see how they go
  21. Collingwood have money to burn. If Richmond go ahead with their redevelopment Collingwood will be the only mega club without the mega training complex which for everyone but Richmond means 2 ovals, indoor training centre, pool and gym plus admin centre. The old Olympic pool is heritage listed which limits what can be done. Perhaps they can do something more with Olympic Park but you have to wonder if a training centre is a good use of valuable land in the sporting precinct. Social clubs are now officially dead IMO. Once the decision was made to ditch pokies that was the end
  22. tend to agree The hawks game was probably our best and even then it took over three quarters to get on top on the scoreboard. If we are to win I think Oliver will need to have a BOG performance. My real MFCSS worry is a blowout followed by a wet and windy 50/50 game the next week against North
  23. why not both OD. Not sure we're quite up to rolling them yet. More hoping it's a decent dress rehearsal for later in the year.
  24. Have been to Punt Road in 2018 for a VFL game. We lost but it was a very nice winters day. Other than the stand which seats maybe 1000 there's not much room and certainly very little additional seatng. They have also made it difficult to get to the Punt road side of the ground where there is maybe 15 feet between the ground and the wire fence. The admin/ gymn centre almost touches the ground. 5000 would pack it out. Overall not one of my favourite VFL grounds. To get in you buy a ticket at the gate for $10 or $5 for away club members. Usual scan in required. Have not seen any mechanism for pre-purchase. The food was a take away truck with nothing spectacular as I recall it. Hangin out for my next Burra burger !! Hope this helps. PS at the Box Hill game last weekend you were allowed onto the oval at the quarter breaks which was a pleasnt surprise.
  25. now allowed 85k at the MCG so I expect there could be some more tickets available. Hopefully all those confident Tigers supporters will buy the $70 plus dollar seats and help the Demon cause
