  1. Peter Bell insists that he stays as it makes him feel less self conscious about his lack of inches
  2. If the only reason we are considering a trade for Hogan is to secure May I think there is a real limit to how long each side can wait it out for
  3. The longer it drags on the less face there is to save I suspect which is unfortunate Personally I was looking forward to him sticking around and hoping the FD would experiment with him at CHB assuming TMac and the Weed are up and about
  4. Are you suggesting Hogan can't make a decision as to whether he stays or accepts the offer from Fremantle ? Why would they go ahead and negotiate with Fremantle if they don't even know what his preference / willingness to leave is? That makes no sense to me - I think its far more likely that Fremantle and MFC are bickering on what picks they receive for Hogan /Neale etc. This is like most trade periods where there is so much talk and speculation with precious little happening until the 11th hour when everyone has to either [censored] or get off the pot
  5. Thanks - possibly a bit more relevant
  6. Wow that is very unfortunate
  7. How does he go in a prelim Final ? We seem to be a bit light on for goers in that space atm
  8. Its very simple Jordan Lewis should not be any different to any other player - if his form warrants selection he plays if not he shouldn't Pretty obvious and pretty fair I would have thought I would have thought overall his contribution to the success of the team this year was a net positive - lets see what he brings in the New Year
  9. Actually our theoretical depth goes way beyond that for possible back six candidates (can you have too much? should we look to bolster the midfield / outside runners rather than continuing to load up in defense?) - B Fritsch - TMac if Hogan stays and Weed is going ok - J Smith - J Hunt - H Petty (looks a way off but who knows) - J Wagner
  10. Assuming May is a starter then the 4 bolded above would be locked in (possibly Salem as well) That would leave 4 fighting for a single spot - something has to give
  11. Hopefully our team of medical and other experts has determined he has a heart as big as Phar Lap's and mixes iron filings in with his Nutragrain each morning for breaky
  12. Wow - now that would be a bargain if you are correct So far you have told us he's - quick - would be one of the most talented on our list and, - a revelation Lets hope it pans out that way
  13. Not sure about that bit - we don't know what the price is yet do we?
  14. I suspect everyone would be better off commenting after there is some clarity one way or another From Bernie Vince's comments he is very much liked by the playing group and they would be happy to see him stay and hopefully enjoy success with them - they also seem happy to accept that if its better for him personally to consider another option then that's OK too - in such circumstances we all need to have faith in the Football Dept to get fair value for a trade and ensure overall we are closer to the ultimate prize as a result
  15. I'd rather keep AVB than Tyson
  16. Would be keen to hear from anyone who has seem this guy play against Casey this year Can he run a game out ? Can he tap the ball consistently to advantage ? Can he take contested marks? Can he kick and hit a target ? Why couldn't he get a single game for North ? I know he was a late convert to AFL from Rugby - maybe Maxy can teach him how to get fit enough to make it in the main game assuming he has the skills to match
  17. They obviously think Tyson wouldn't crack a game all year too then - not big fans of Dom clearly
  18. My guess would be the one that's not being helped out the door
  19. Looks slow to me - Tyson mark II
  20. Can't we still have that ? All this talk of Hogan being traded seems crazy - he has far more scope to be a dominant player over the next 5 to 7 years than Weid does imo I really don't understand why he would want to leave he's going to make plenty of money either way and the future looks much brighter at MFC than the Shockers in the next few years
  21. The Weid can kick he just doesn't get enough of them consistently imho - Not convinced he is the answer yet hopefully I'm wrong
  22. Can Max kick for goal ? what am I missing ?
  23. Sydee replied to Dr.D's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think Jayden is certainly a keeper - I hope he turns his fortunes around in 2019 and becomes an important member of an improving team. I can see a role for him on the wing if he can work on his delivery inside 50
  24. CP5 shaking in his boots - yikes !
