NON-MFC: Round 19
We'll drop behind WB if they win and we don't. Even if we win tomorrow, the Cats will still (probably) be ahead of us on %. Would suit us to be a 1pt win to the Cats.

NON-MFC: Round 19
was thinking the same ...

Wildcard Weekend
We would get the home game against Freo and the away game against Hawks. Freo's home game would be against the Hawks. The highest rank team always gets its home game against the second highest rank team in the pool. I think that's fairest. (Although having the highest rank team choosing is an intriguing idea)

NON-MFC: Round 19
Can't work out what result I want in the GWS vs GCS game. I've setted on hoping for an all-in brawl that results in 10 players from each side receiving 4 week suspensions.

Wildcard Weekend
BCFS (cool idea for a name @Demonstone) pros: has 12 games versus the current 9 games and the proposed wildcard version which has 11 games. If your team makes the finals you get to see them at home while the system still advantages the teams that finish higher on the ladder (through pool seedings, and 2nd chance & home teams for Prelims) it provides a more realistic opportunity for any team in the Top9. This is important particularly with an uneven H&A draw. Wildcard proposal is a pile of crop IMHO and having more teams in the finals then not in the finals, sucks big time.

Wildcard Weekend
No, it would be five weeks with each team getting 1 bye during the finals. There would be three games in the first three weeks, 2 in the 4th week (Prelims) and the GF in the fifth week. No pre-finals bye, so it's the same length. Pool A (1,6,7) Pool B (2,5,8) Pool C (3,4,9) Week 1: Qualifying Finals 6v7 (1 gets a bye), 5v8 (2 gets a bye), 4v9 (3 gets a bye) Weeks 2 and 3 are Pool A: 7v1 and 1v6, Pool B: 8v2 and 2v5 Pool C: 9v3 and 3v4 Week 4: Prelims Week 5: GF (to ensure no dead rubbers, the winner of the first week plays their second game in the third week.*) *eg if 6 beats 7, then the next week it's 7v1 and the 3rd week is 1v6. If 7 beats 1 then the next week will be 1v6 and the third week 7v1. This way the result of the game in the third week will always determine the pool winner [Note on prelims: Pool winners qualify for Prelim along with highest ranked 2nd place getter. If teams 1,2 and 4 win their pools and 3 comes second in their pool, the Prelims would be: 1 v 3 and 2 v 4 If teams 1,5,3 won their pools, but team 2 came 3rd in their pool and 4 came second in theirs, the prelims would be: 1 v 4 and 3 v 5]

Wildcard Weekend
Top 9 (once we have Tassie) Split into 3 pools of 3 Each team plays the 2 other teams in their pool (1 x Home and 1 x away) Top of each pool goes to Prelim (seeded by H&A ladder position) Last spot in Prelim goes to the team with the highest H&A ladder position of the teams that finish 2nd in their pool

The Run Home
He'd make a handy sub. Imagine bringing him on at 3/4 time.

Potential Father Son Prospect Noah Yze
He seemed to be really running hard. Like you, I think he's a keeper. How good would it be to have Viney, Brown, Woewoden, Yze and White all in the same team?

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Essendon VFL
It's pretty bad. Not that anyone needed to as it was so obvious, but I ran it through the AI detector ....

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Essendon
Two shoutouts. The first one is for Oliver. He had 25 possessions today and I think you could say this was his best game since Rd2. He's still a long way from Peak Clarry but I have the gut feeling he's going to play some seriously good games before the end of the season. The other is for MIlkshake. I know it's been said plenty on DL tonight but I need to say it too! His penetrating 'link' kicks are sublime. He could have had 4 goals today (missed a sitter and handballed one off to Lingers) and we are seriously a better team with him in it.

NON-MFC: Round 15
Oh. I'll have to look at it again!!

NON-MFC: Round 15
There is no way that goal should stand. The umpire called play on and then stuck both hands up. They had all of half-time to fix it.

Brisbane v Melbourne tickets/functions/catch up etc
I'm all sorted now. Thanks to WCW and excited to be going.

Cale Morton
We had 4 picks within the first 20 and six overall at that draft. Max was taken as our fifth pick behind Scully, Trengove, Gisberts and Tapscott. Imagine if you had a crystal ball and we had selected: Martin, Cunnington, Fyfe, Gawn (of course), Duncan and picked up Dylan Grimes with pick #1 in the pre-season draft. We'd have won six premierships with that list, although in second thoughts we probably would have debuted them all on Queens Birthday and scarred them for life.

Brisbane v Melbourne tickets/functions/catch up etc
I sent an email to [email protected] on Saturday. I haven't heard anything yet. When should I expect to hear something or what's the deal? (Not trying to hassle, just want to settle down the last bit - and kind of an important bit - of my trip to Brisbane).

Brisbane v Melbourne tickets/functions/catch up etc
Now you've got me worried. I booked through a third party online site and they've accepted my booking (made 2 weeks ago). I'm going to have to follow that up.
-
Brisbane v Melbourne tickets/functions/catch up etc
Oh, I will be there! Do you know how to ensure I'm seated with decent (ie Melbourne) people?
-
Brisbane v Melbourne tickets/functions/catch up etc
I'm at the Paramount Motel which I believe is about 3 minutes walk away!
-
Brisbane v Melbourne tickets/functions/catch up etc
Yeah... I've only just wandered back on.... Ticket already booked I oddly feel more comfortable when I don't think we're a premiership chance anymore. I might be able to enjoy games again!

Brisbane v Melbourne tickets/functions/catch up etc
Virgin had a triple status points promotion a few weeks ago and in a desperate desire to take advantage I reached for the AFL schedule and spontaneously booked 1 ticket to Brisbane to see us play the LIons. I arrive midday Friday and leave Sat morning. I have booked cheap accommodation a 10 minute walk away. I'm on my own (can't believe I got the leave pass from Mrs BIg Col but I don't look a gift horse in the mouth) Only thing I haven't organised is footy tickets, although I'm also keen on catching up with Dees fans when there. So ... 1/ How do I get tickets that are around Dees fans? Is there an allocation? 2/ Are there any functions or pubs or hang outs that Dees fans are likely to congregate? 3/ Any D'Landers who want to catch up before or after for a beer etc ? 4/ Anything else to know?

Reid Sling Tackle, Darcy Bump, Rising Star Wide Open
I have Windsor into Melb top 4 that will net me $750 on a $5 bet so I'm kind of excited now! (if Petracca also wins the Brownlow, it becomes $12000 !!). Hoping for a win tomorrow, where Trac is BOG and Windsor kicks 2 goals.

Reid Sling Tackle, Darcy Bump, Rising Star Wide Open
Windsor could be in with a real chance now if Reid and Darcy both get suspended. They both should, much as we may want to give a medal to Darcy.
