  1. One other thing. This year we all, other than blind people, know that the Club has a problem with Umpires except one, Razor. I have always believed the way to face this, and for that matter other situations, is head on, please excuse the pun, so i would offer a suggestion that the Club do some homework over summer to relay our position in confidence to the Umpires, who, i think, should, would, have to meet us with our filmed incidents and get this bloody nuisance of a thing sorted. Everything on the table, including preconceived opinions and player and umpire attitudes alike. etc etc.
  2. This is a top summary. I will add one more thing , and that is a discussion as to who our Captain and Vice is going forward before we leave it too late.
  3. The Media engineered the exposure of the HIT to make sure that the dumbing down of public opinion was soundly asleep for most of the time. There are several ways the AFL could be dragged into fixing their mess. Conversely MFC could fix it for them. Bear in mind, The AFL cannot do without US.
  4. Initially i thought to close the thread would be the action to take my now i"m thinking more along the lines of post here if you want to but most people will want to concentrate on the game. Otherwise it should stay available out of respect for those might have the wish to enquire about our players and also would like to remind the rest about what happened and aspects of development of this issue when this is over.
  5. Under instruction to push the rules?
  6. Eddie has made us all ashamed a long time ago with his Sydney antics, and it looks like it is a bit of a struggle..
  7. I'll name you plenty, they would have wimped the kick. He didn't wimp anything for anybody.
  8. Question for the witness to the accident:- "did the individual NOT go straight up enough to have been under some sort of direction, witness"
  9. I have a feeling that was the second clearance that Brayshaw successfully had from the centre. So we could assume that Maynard was placed by the Coach where he was to pick Brayshaw uo coming out of the middle. The rest is history. Maynard actually came off the ground after that as well, didn't he.
  10. You know AZK that the intent was to have contact and damage after the kick got past the person trying to "smother" With that intent the intender sought out where most of the opposing body part was. That being the shoulder/head area result ......Brayshaw unconscious.
  11. There is one thing that would really have the AFL thinking. That is withdrawal of services just before the bounce of Friday Nights Game by the players, citing that their safety cannot be guaranteed....etc etc etc
  12. Get well Team Member, thinking of how bravely you played this year. I won't forget. I have never met you, but i laughed when you laughed and when you were interviewed you said what you thought.
  13. Would like to remember what people look like. Are there any decent memory joggers around that would clear the memory.
  14. Do they want to get him off completely, or just one week? One week is a martyr, and their, and the Media's brainless exoneration, combined with win for the Club to get in the GF, all forgiven...
  15. They both know why he was positioned there...
  16. Mason has picked up all the "good" points about AFL fair ruck play/contesting, funnily enough, at, of all Clubs, Collingwood....go figure
  17. I wouldn't mind a record of who was spoken to previously about how unwise this might be??
  18. Also for the first time this year it did look like the Umpiring was letting things including play ons go from the outset.
  19. It would not be impossible to think that the MCC have already been contacted by someone in the Media asking how the MCC would handle a fully fledged riot on display, should the circumstances prevail that way. Their reaction of course, would be to suggest to the AFL as well as the State Government in turn. "just make sure it doesn't". They have several courses of action in my book.
  20. The Media have dug a very big grave, they will need to have an exit strategy. plausible deniability.
  21. Maynard was there, in that position to catch/stop/[censored] the quick exiter from the middle, in this case Brayshaw. It was an executed lineup. We don't even need the rest of the hidden camera work. It would be available.
  22. And by the way, he knew who it was..
  23. Don't forget you and i are not getting all the filming of this major incident that should be available to the public and thus the presumptions are so frustrating. We would actually see the mindset in action, or not.
  24. The much loved player being Brayshaw i presume??
  25. Question to Coach of Collingwood. Was Maynard stationed in the position he was by the Coll Coach, so as to stop quick releases from the centre bounces? What the hell happened to that part of that instruction that Maynard didn't get? Or what instruction was Maynard given, and will this happen again, given a propensity to being misunderstood? Come on Media grow some bulls, or is this like the other major issues that "you cannot handle the truth"
