Why are we continuously being beaten in clearances?
Two things we are waiting for JVR to get big enough to do what Brownie used to do at centre bounces. The second is that our players are the most interfered players of all Clubs except one at Pies... Pendlebury

Jvr lifted his arm to avoid the most of the contact

I thought by the way Ben was shaking hands with the MFC players after the game...

The commentators know that they are scum, they know what they are doing, and i think it's tied to a couple of issues. They know that MFC Football Club want a Home Premiership. What that means come the end of September, they will all have to come and bow down to the MFC. I don't want to put the spotlight on anyone, but i think we have playing, some individuals that are not " in their mould type" sport people. I guess you can figure out who i am talking about, and their show did the trick.

Not completely correct. It was what is wrong at Melb, how bad we are, and bruise free, and no one will go there, etc etc, ad nauseum.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Gold Coast
Well, where do i start and end. This game was spoiled by the very inconsistent efforts by what the industry calls umpires. In this game they weren't umpires. They very rarely paid marks. They very rarely paid interference to marks. We were not beaten by a good Team. We were nearly beaten by an extremely fortunate team and some, as usual bewildering decisions. The difference between last week and this week was rank. To an observer you can tell when the smaller players aren't going to be protected. Their(umpires) fine art now is to penalize but make it so its not that obvious and by three qtr time they had nearly run out of tricks. The one i did notice though was how the protected one behind the person on the mark definitely only applies to us. Just so sick of such poor performances, both on and off in the media. They don't even bother hiding it anymore. Sad when there is plenty of younger blokes with footy commentating nous, they still manage to regurgitate old hacks, who should be doing Bingo calling.

NON-MFC: Rd 08 2023
Zorko and Rich out what a load of baloney. They were going out of their way to make sure that the cameras saw the ice. They were being rested or my hair is growing at twice the rate it was forty years ago..

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Gold Coast
We got the trifecta of umpires this week 31, 32, and 33. Have no idea on rule of the week, but i guess we will have to wait to see what comes up tonight. The ambiguity of the push in the back rule, which is so open to interpretation by one individual one week and then differs the following week. Then what about the tearing off of the head from the torso, and the degree of how dazed the individual is or for that matter who they are, and are playing for. Both these rules will come into play heavily tonight, consistency will be appreciated

Andrew Dillon is the Next AFL CEO
Yep flights getting cancelled on way to Cairns airport after driving 100ks from Daintree with two other people is not funny.

Tasmanian AFL Team
Anyone see/hear anything that could be construed as disturbing from tone of conversation on AFL 360 last night in regard to the slotting in of future pioneer coaches at TS devils? With the inevitable cupboard placement of the Hawthorn Debacle....etc

No, but i can imagine what it would be like.

Kane Cornes' Top 5 Players
Further to above, wholeheartedly agree. In the Melb Commentary they all seem to wrap Oliver but contradict the whole process by not following through, which, by the way, i'm not displeased about.

CASEY: Rd 06 vs Box Hill Hawks
I'm going to be keeping an eye on Joel Smith for the next few weeks just to see what happens, because he has had a slow build up and was very close to the GF two years ago. Smokey with nothing to lose and experience.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
Ironically the Brownlow medallist does it and nothing happens to him, he goes on to win the bloody thing. I do not agree with the punitive rebuke of it was bad, its not a school room..
