Changes vs Swans R4
I just spoke to someone close to one of our senior players. I was told that Pruess will almost definitely play against the Swans. He has been battling abductor issues but should be right to go on Thursday.

Non MFC games Round 2
Every season you can guarantee on Eddie opening his mouth and saying something inappropriate. He is a jerk who thinks he is funny. Disgusting comment.

Gawn Hospitalised Days Prior to Round 1
It was a bit more than that. The procedure did involve a GA, drainage, sutures, antibiotics etc that would have made him feel pretty disgusting. It was actually a significant area that was affected. Before I get accused, I am not breaking any medical confidentiality. I actually know someone close to Max who told me and many others this last week well before the game. On going by what I was told, I was extremely surprised to see him out there at all.

We’re going to win the Flag next year - what do you do when we do?
Wow - sorry I asked. I actually work in palliative care so I am not a public servant, academic or bureaucrat - just a nurse. Nor am I being boastful. I have no intention of blaming anyone - as fellow Demon supporters I just wanted to throw it out there and see what others would do in my shoes.

That is how I feel. When Collingwood and St Kilda played for GF and there was a draw, my husband was at the first GF but we flew out that night for an overseas trip so he missed the second week and subsequent win. He still tells me it was one of his biggest regrets.

We’re going to win the Flag next year - what do you do when we do?
Big decision to make here. I have a work conference next September in Italy that I have to attend. If I have a holiday before the conference I will be back for the GF but will miss all of the other finals.. If I have my holiday after the conference I will miss the GF but most possibly be around for the first two rounds of finals. Its too far to travel for just the conference. Any advice? What would you do?

THE KID - A TRIBUTE TO COLIN SYLVIA
That bought a tear to my eye. RIP Col - thanks for the memories. You will never be forgotten. ❤️?

Col was also involved with the Reach program while at Melbourne and acted as a mentor to one of my staffs son who was being bullied and involved wirh a seedy group of peers who were leading him astray. I cannot say that Col saved him from a life of crime but I know he looked up to Col and is now a well adjusted boy. He told me Col was his role model as he had no dad or anyone to look up to.

Random MFC encounters
I was on a diving trip in West Papua a few weeks ago and we made a stop at a remote island called Banda Island. I have been there before and always take along a bag of school supplies for the kids. To my shock and delight there were two mischievous little boys at the port in Melbourne Demon T-shirts. Admittedly they were pretty well worn and had seen better days and I asked one of them if he knew what the emblem was. He looked at me like I was stupid and said ‘Go Dees’. He didn’t know where the T-shirts had come from and they looked as though they had been handed down several times. I was so chuffed as most of the other passengers on the boat were from Perth and WCE supporters. Didn’t see any of their T-shirts. Made a mental note to bring along half a dozen next year when I go back.
