I was there, I usually sit in the MCC but a mate wasnt a member so we sat in the southern stand. If there was some cheering or jeering for Cale being subbed off it wasnt noticable from where I was sitting. Although if it did happen it is disgraceful. I always get stuck into my essendon mates about the way they treated Stanton last year. It would be horrible for us to go down a similar path.

Game was over at 1/4 time and melbourne just coasted and kept them at an arms length. In case you all forgotten we had won only 2 games this year. My problem is that he hasnt really shown anything at VFL level though. He kicked 5 in the development league but since then he has rarely kicked a goal. I dont like knocking on him because I had very high hopes for him but atm it just looks like he isnt going to make it. I hope he proves me wrong.

Its really a win win if we lose or draw, if we win maybe get some media relief and give Neeld a win he deserves or in case we lose like you said, it moves us closer to 2 and 3. I hope we win though, im so sick of losing I think most people on here would prefer a win after the year we have had.

What can the AFL actually do? I think they will just change the draft to an NBA style lottery system which would solve everything. Nothing more they can do without sanctioning the whole competition and admitting they were wrong and tanking exist which I think we all no wont happen.

If he gets 50 possessions in the forward half and kicks 6 goals then I would say he needs to be contained. Although you are right, he can have 50 kicks in the back half for all I care

I cant believe im going to this game. If we dont win then the media hounds will clearly be out even more so than now. In saying that though, i reckon the team will win by 8 goals. Concerning to say the least, the main worry for me is if the AFL decide to sanction us due to pressure from the public. It probably wont happen, I just cant bare to think about where our club will be without being able to participate in the draft.

Ive accepted that we stink and that this year is a write off. Next year ill be hoping for improvement, if not then ill be walking down to AAMI park with steel cap boots on and start round housing the players, coaches, board members, boot studders and anyone else in the general vacinity that I can get to.
