Gold Coast are set to pass on Viney, allowing Melbourne to take Viney with their second round pick. The second round pick Melbourne have, was also linked in a trade with Collingwood which would be a straight swap for Dawes for Melbourne's second round pick. But given Melbourne can now pick up Viney with pick 26 instead of pick 3, they will now contemplate trading pick 13 + Stef Martin to Collingwood in return for Dawes and Rounds.
