Ok, what I will say is lighten up. You go on this almighty spiel that (certainly to me) invited opinion but then ended it with a note of ‘no correspondence will be entered into’. Here’s a tip, don’t post if you don’t wish others to respond. I’m sorry that I reminded you (in jest) that this is a site where we exchange opinions. Clearly, you’re a sensitive soul. I’m also not going to demand that no one responds to this post, good, bad or indifferent. For what it’s worth, my take isn’t so much about the personnel on the field but that we lack the absolute dare of last year. We’re looking for that perfect play but lacking that natural instinct that took us to the top. All is not lost.

So many passages where we played without dare. Therein lies the difference. The number of times they rope-a-doped and streamed out from the back was embarrassing.

Some bloody tough choices to be made and I don't envy the selectors. However, broadly speaking we are lacking the dynamism of last year. For that reason alone, I wouldn't entertain The Weed as there's a confidence sapping vibe about him (it's all about the vibe!!). JVR on the other hand - a bit of a strut that's badly needed. No dropping of the head and he thinks he's pretty good. Bring it on.

Are we brave enough to play JVR if he has a blinder in the 2's? Felt like a very static forward line tonight.
