  1. GC really is where talented players go to lose confidence, ability and effort. Rowell, Anderson and Rankine are going backwards.
  2. Touch of Darcy Parish about Sam Walsh. A lot of possessions for not much influence. Still, as BBO has reminded me, they're the Premiership faves.
  3. GWS looked terrible tonight.
  4. Brad Scott has started well, hasn’t he!! ‘There’s to be no dissent’ says the former coaches box nutter.
  5. Roy11, I've watched a fair amount of grass roots footy. I certainly don't disagree with what you say. From my observation, the one thing that does seem to have a significant impact is the selection of coach. Strong coaches have the capacity to be incredibly influential. Even the idiots will follow the lead of a coach who leads by positive example. I remember watching two matches involving Frankston Pines. Their reserves coach at the time should never have been allowed to coach. Abusive, volatile and, of course, the crowd dutifully followed his lead in behaving in a threatening manner towards the umpire. In contrast, the senior coach was all that you would want in a coach of a team. And players and supporters alike followed suit re their own behaviour. It wasn't a one off. I've seen it time and again.
  6. It's funny BBO. As soon as I posted, I did wonder why I had this need to comment on him. My daughter had the Jesse Hogan badge and wanted his name on a duffle coat. Ok, there's still a soft spot. But bloody hell
  7. Agree with both. My observation (others may think differently) is that Jesse has a negative energy about him and it impacts every team he plays for. He’s a culture killer. I do understand that he’s had some setbacks. I also know there’s a bloke playing for Carlton who’s fought cancer twice and is a leader of the club. And that there are many other players who have overcome tremendous adversity. The childhood of David Schwartz is a case in point. I was a big supporter of Jesse. Somewhere along the way he lost me. Not that he would give two hoots!! And I guess that’s fair enough.
  8. Don't get me started!!!
  9. Yep, and I always thought Essendon would be my true hate. But Geelong has it all: Home town umpiring (thought it may end with televised games, but no) Joel Selwood Forwards who dive Joel Selwood Money thrown at the club because it's in a marginal seat Joel Selwood Shonky land deals Families of footballers employed by Cotton On (see Judd and Visy) Joel Selwood Mogg's Creek Chris Scott's cool beard The 5 or so chairs provided to opposition supporters
  10. I'm with DUB WCW. I probably interchange between Geelong and Essendon. But I can't abide by the run Geelong have always had with the umps.
  11. I hate Geelong.
  12. Another mint Tom Hawkins decision. Good grief
  13. James Brayshaw [censored] me to tears. It's one irrelevant platitude after another. STFU you crashing bore

  16. Thanks DW. I'll take a squiz at Bomberblitz to double that enjoyment.
  17. Not sure who to barrack for Hawthorn v Geelong. Like choosing between a [censored] sandwich and a punch to the head. Maybe Hawthorn.
  18. An Essendon loss. How terribly sad 🤣

  21. Unnecessarily over the top and absolutely correct.
  22. Well done to Weed. Put himself in the contest and worked up the ground when it mattered.
  23. Horne - Francis looks very good. I know people will slag them off, but North is tracking in the right direction imo
