Gold. Absolute gold. Crywoldt and co off their chops

Is it just me or is Carlton getting a sensational run with the umps?
-
I cannot listen to Kelli Underwood. Excruciating.

Just about to post the same thing. Just watched a Crows player mugged as he chased whilst on the mark. Ump was right on the spot.

Sam Mitchell always looks perpetually smug to me. Maybe not tonight. Hopefully, he'll get a phone call from the all - knowing Jeff Kennett to put a ribbon around today.

Just wondering if there's a threat to our 186 up in Brisbane?

I thought Rosman was in everything

For mine, Rosman looks the best prospect for us based on today. Looks too good for this level.

I agree, but even GWS (franchise) seems to have players who play for the club. And GWC seems to have no discernible system, just goals through talent of few.

Wind GC up. Soulless club designed to make fat cat execs feel good about themselves.

Very happy for Bedford. A game which could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

May make this one look like a modern day classic

Great game

Was thinking the same Dees. I'm sure Goody is all over it.

Lance gets a fair run with the umps these days. I've watched him throw two handballs and a shaky free kick for a shot on goal.
-
I'd like to get 'Bill' Laurie in as sub if we are looking to ease some young talent in. Thought he had some very good moments today.

Frankston Pines and Sorento Sharks.
-
Unfortunately not at my place. But good luck to you.

GC really is where talented players go to lose confidence, ability and effort. Rowell, Anderson and Rankine are going backwards.
-
Touch of Darcy Parish about Sam Walsh. A lot of possessions for not much influence. Still, as BBO has reminded me, they're the Premiership faves.

GWS looked terrible tonight.

Brad Scott has started well, hasn’t he!! ‘There’s to be no dissent’ says the former coaches box nutter. -

Roy11, I've watched a fair amount of grass roots footy. I certainly don't disagree with what you say. From my observation, the one thing that does seem to have a significant impact is the selection of coach. Strong coaches have the capacity to be incredibly influential. Even the idiots will follow the lead of a coach who leads by positive example. I remember watching two matches involving Frankston Pines. Their reserves coach at the time should never have been allowed to coach. Abusive, volatile and, of course, the crowd dutifully followed his lead in behaving in a threatening manner towards the umpire. In contrast, the senior coach was all that you would want in a coach of a team. And players and supporters alike followed suit re their own behaviour. It wasn't a one off. I've seen it time and again.
