  1. Whatever happens (and I know a loss is the end of the world for some), we have found a few players who can carry us forward. I.e. I would never have picked Trent to be so impactful in the middle. I'm sure some may have. I wasn't one.
  2. Struggle to remember what I had for brekky. Will always remember Michael Long's GF coward act on Troy Simmonds. Carry nothing other than ill will towards this club. Like the Scottish play, I choose not to say its name.
  3. Darcy Moore knows exactly what heโ€™s doing with these knees into ribs flies. Cox did/does the same
  4. El Diablo 14. There's a name. I get that you can't afford to go...... but you spend the better part of three hours bagging the Melbourne Football Club., post after post after post. Almost without exception, every post take pot shots at players, coach and club. I don't think you should pay for a membership 'next and the next after' as the Dees don't appear to bring you any joy.
  5. Tholstrup playing his second game really showed a bit. Thought Rivers also lifted his work rate and played very well. Not the disaster so many are wanting to paint it as.
  6. Cox knees opponents deliberately. No question about it.
  7. Goody will make some huge, huge changes next week. Billings to start. Laurie sub.
  8. It's actually been a lot longer than that DD. We won the Premiership because (not only) we played with a great deal of dare. Each season since has seen less and less dare and wanting to adhere to a strict game plan. Consequently, we're always, always, always reactive rather than pro-active.
  9. McQualter can probably leave season's end.
  10. Fixed. Off to eat a bit of humble pie.
  11. I really hope I am JNWWS. It wouldn't be the first time!! Spoke to him at the Casey/Port match a number of weeks ago and terrific kid.
  12. Do hope I'm wrong, but other than Frankston reflector- beach shades, not sure the young lad offers a real point of difference.
  13. Rory Lobb effort...diabolical
  14. Rory Lobb plays as an ineffective small. Bit of a problem when you're selected as a tall.
  15. Match Review Officer Michael Christian has slapped the first-year midfielder with a two-game suspension for the act, rendering him ineligible to win this yearโ€™s Rising Star award. Christian assessed the incident as careless conduct, high impact and high contact, resulting in the two-match sanction. Pity that he couldn't show the same degree of clarity last year. How is he still in a job? Threatening to resign because his former club could lose Maynard for a final was a low point for even the AFL
  16. I'd like to start the Post Game thread please. And I'd like to start with 'WTF....'
  17. Can't believe I'm saying this, but not making finals could be a blessing in disguise.
  18. Disappointing. A bit of G & T my friend. I'm Alan Partridge.....aha.
  19. Spirit, thanks for the info. It just feels so wrong.
  20. I reckon he is. Just saw him make a spoil but not sure he was 42
