  1. I like the way young lib Damien Barrett tried a little hyperbole with 'Jesse Hogan may not play again', deliberately being disingenuous. It's a fair guess our favorite ambulance chaser knows little more than you or I.
  2. I look at the great footballers who play our game and it is simplistic in the extreme to label pirate school boys as bottom feeders. I'd almost say that most of the current day players are from private school backgrounds.
  3. Agreed and then, for the finishing touch, we could add a footballer.Great post by the way. Was a good article.
  4. Agreed. It only goes to show how inconsistent the game plan has been prior.
  5. Some players lose pace very quickly and he may be falling into that category.
  6. Which I should add, I'm not adverse to.
  7. Off the womens tees.
  8. Tend to agree. He may well go in the end but there's a great deal of mileage in getting the public to jump at shadows.
  9. And I don't think there's a phat Phil Hogan lurking with his hand out for a cheap pay out.
  10. How funny would that be Mo! A touch of the political campaign of Mal Maninga.
  11. I always thought of Jimmy as an outside mid.
  12. If someone asked me to encapsulate my frustrations of the last ten years I would point them to our kick ins. In fact, I'd go further and show them footage of us trying to get the ball out of the 50. I don't claim to know the answer beyond seeing that the sides that do it well are nowhere near as static as we are in defense. And the designated kicker for most teams is able to kick over a jam tin.
  13. Dunn - has been terrific this season. Testament to a strong coach. I look at Pettard and wonder how he would be traveling for us. He's doing very well at Richmond IMO.
  14. Cousin's son Stuie but my influence would be minimal. In fact, zero.
  15. Parker, Fyfe, the latter being a pipe dream
  16. ] You never got back to us Machsy. What's that phrase you're so in love with? NFI
  17. Meanwhile, still awaiting your continued thoughts on leadership Machsy.
  18. Yes Axis. This is my view.
  19. My original argument was that he was not an A grade kick.
  20. That's a very good point. He's had a wretched run and surely is due for a better run of luck.
  21. That's certainly how I recall it.
  22. Axis, I don't think he is an A grade kick when under pressure. I am certainly happy to be proven wrong as I may well be when he returns. Unlike my bff Machsy, I will take your opinion on board.
  23. Machsy, up to this point I have avoided labeling you an overly sensitive, overly angry half wit. I will continue with this approach as you are clearly capable of doing the job for me.
  24. Very much agree with Beezlebub. Stats can be incredibly deceptive. You could see a bloke get 18 possies and know he needs to play and similarly see another get 35 and know he isn't ready or good enough.
  25. Statistics and damn lies Machsy. My strong recollection is that he is not an A grade kick by any stretch of the imagination.
