Cannot help but think that our September forward line will be very different to what we start with. And wouldn't be at all surprised to see Jefferson nail a regular spot. Add McAdam, Kossie, Fritta, an improving JVR, Trac resting (even a great ball user in Seston) and we have a less one-dimensional forward line. Each to their own but I'd rather Petty down back.

The F/S one is an interesting one. The stronger clubs regularly screwed the competition over with the successful 'money in paper bags' approach to get the best players to play for them. They then get rewarded again through talented offspring.

Whilst Oliver and Smith need to really grow up, the club should immediately tackle a particular player who I understand has negatively impacted the culture of the club. I know that's 'Big Footy Scandals' speak, but that's my understanding and I'm conscious of what can and cannot be said on Demonland. The last three weeks have been a car crash.

No doubt there's been great crowds and I always try attend as many Dees games as possible. I do wonder though if there are others who, like me, are increasingly going to the local footy (Mornington Peninsula). Sometimes feels a bit more authentic, less razzamatazz. Sponsor is the local butcher too so 'the burgers are better'. So there's that.

Do not take the award off the umpires unless you really do want to see the voting rigged. Yes, it's sometimes a dog's breakfast but the alternative is ex - players easily compromised.
