  1. Agree with that, if/when we get to a final, you can almost see him being the one to put his hand up the way Lewis did
  2. Well done beamer, thoroughly deserved, dominant season from him! Privileged to share a first name with you!
  3. Not only that but games against big sides set the club up financially very well, especially United coz sometimes Sir Alex donates the money revenue to the club if they need like he did Exeter a few years back
  4. As in maybe it hasnt been finalsed yet because its not signed and that will happen when hes home
  5. Cant see him not signing and dont see why he wouldnt or why we wouldnt want him to. Hes in New York so im hoping thats the only reason why it hasnt been announced
  6. With the rumours already of Penddles, with Neeld already here and McGuire already crying about our chase of Malthouse, the more of Collingwood we raid, the merrier, would love to see his reaction if some of these rumours eventuate. IMO, hes the product we need at the end of our midfield, well certainly his type, we need someone to provide a forward target on a constant basis, as well as take the best defender. The type we certainly need!
  7. United win, Chelsea lose, City lose 2 goal lead, liverpool murdered, Arsenal lose to Blackburn.. brilliant weekend if you ask me
  8. Hughes is surely pulling off a Marcus North, one career saving innings every 15 tests in order to keep his spot followed by more failure and the cycle repeats. Marsh has shown his quality and Khawaja deserves his spot a lot more than Hughes, hes back for his 3rd spell now and didnt set the world on fire in any of them, I think its time to move on and start building with openers who actually have a technique
  9. Wow I hope you're 2/3. No prizes for guessing which 2 I hope are correct!
  10. The thing is, he easily kicked goal of the year and didnt win that! For me Naitinui was a clear number one for mark of the year, got higher in a bigger pack of people
  11. I was at the game sitting in the front row where it happened and the look on everyones faces (other than James himself!! ) said it all, im glad hes recovering well because he had established himself in our 22 and was starting to become an AFL footballer. Really hope to see him out there in the 2012 season, hes quite a gem across the back line
  12. Thats a bit harsh, not like hes the only one
  13. I think Neeld will know how to use Morton better and will instil some toughness in him, Sylvia re-signed for a reason and I think he can have a massive year. The ones who need to though are Davey Bennel and Jetta, all had poor years but at their best could win games on their own
  14. Its a tough one for Neeld but certainly one of his first jobs. Whether he keeps Green or not, and who he choses. IMO, Grimes and Trengove are born for the roll, its just perhaps a factor of being too young, but until then, there doesnt seam a prime candidate to keep the roll nice and warm
  15. I think hes a good player that we have better of, but it means his value is certainly still there. A tall backman is always a need of most clubs, so using him for the best offer could benefit us highly
  16. You would think a KPF is the way to go right now, with the 2 in mind being Dawes or Hawkins. Hawkins was earlier not wanted by Geelong but hes ending the season well. How hard it is to get any of the two is another thing all together However I really hope we dont just get a spud player just for the sake of pleasing the fans that something has been done. Only get a player that is realistic but also improves the club as a whole
  17. Been a very good seasons o far with the manchester clubs dominating, Ive already written off Arsenal and Liverpool, certainly not good enough lists, but IMO Chelsea are the team to look at to challenge United for the league. IMO, City will struggle now that the CL has started and they have tough away games at the end of each CL game and the cold winter months are coming where its hard to play attractive football
  18. I like the appointment and think its what we need. What I also like is the lengths both he AND MM went through in order to come up with this decision. Clearly both he and Mick are sure that Neeld has made the right decision and that hes certainly ready to come here. Melbourne HAD to get this one right, there were no second chances here and im sure we did enough to give ourselves the best opportunity in ensuring weve made the right decision. Anyone else get the feeling perhaps He was the one that MM believed should be the next coach of Collingwood. I reckon Neeld is ready to prove that he was the man to go to rather than a fairytale in Buckley But listening to his interviews, he looks to be going about this the right way. Hes got a very good rap from around the league, especially from MM and he already knows what we need to improve on. He knows we have the talent and if he can add the much needed structure to our game play, we can already start improving on where we are and become where we should be It seams that for a while now the players have been told they will be amazing and theyve been waiting around for it to happen, but now we actually have someone with a few non-negotiables to ensure it happens and show them that it takes hard work to become premiership players, not just talent. I hope the boy realise theyre in for the hardest pre season of their lives!!!!!
