  1. Carlton Collingwood Geelong GWS Brisbane Hawks Freo Gold Coast
  2. Always a fertile trading ground GWS and Bruhn should become a bloody good player. Still remember how shattered he looked when he got selected by GWS. I'm hoping down the track we can pick up Howes mate Callaghan. Probably too early for that thread though.
  3. Premier: Melbourne Runner-up: GWS Wooden spoon: Weagles Moving up: Carlton (Sadly) Set to fall: Geelong (Hopefully) Brownlow Medal: Bontempelli Coleman Medal: Harry McKay NAB AFL Rising Star: Daicos Best new Demon: Howes Demon All Australian: Lever, Petracca, Oliver, Salem (Jackson to have more time in the ruck and lower Gawns chances) Demon B&F: Oliver Big call: Chris Scott to walk away from the game at the end of the season after Cats fail to make the 8. Ladder prediction: 1. Brisbane 2. Melbourne 3. Western Bulldogs 4. GWS 5. Sydney 6. Freemantle 7. Carlton 8. Port Adelaide 9. Ninthmond
  4. GWS definitely a threat this year. Perhaps not this year but Freo are going about building their list quite nicely as well, one to watch in the next 2-3 years.
  5. Perhaps I should re-phrase the question. Which team is at the bottom of your list of least preferred to win?
  6. If not us, then.. 1. Who do you think will win the flag? 2. Who would you like to see win the flag? With the season just around the corner I thought this topic might be an interesting discussion point. Of course all of our desires would be to see us go back to back and hold up that cup for the 14th time at the rightful heartland of our great club and game. Having said that, I am interested to see where peoples thoughts are should we not be featured in the Grand Final. I personally think Brisbane will be the one most likely (watch them fall off a cliff this year now), while I have a soft spot for St Kilda due to many of mates being long suffering supporters, something we can all relate to, and would prefer them over any other team to win.
  7. Smart person no doubt
  8. Still don't understand why we pulled Weideman out at half time in the ressies to give him 10minutes in the last quarter. Not exactly setting him up to succeed with that game prep
  9. Lol if we win this game
  10. Bump ball mark, this games umpiring has been a joke. We have equally been embarrassing.
  11. Eight 50 metre penalties now with a quarter to go
  12. Not sure we're doing Weid any favours by playing a half in the reserves and not give him a decent half in this game.
  13. Seven 50 metre penalties. What's the record?
  14. Turner on for Baker. No injury concern.
  15. I legit didn't know Jack Martin was playing until the last 20seconds. Glad he refused to meet with us.
  16. Some round 1 spots are up for grabs I'd imagine.
  17. Umpires seem lax on holding the man calls.
  18. Sparrow has super impressive hands overhead.
  19. Bedford out there as well now
  20. Haven't seen him out there yet. Edit: Looks to be in gear and warming up
  21. Back on the bench getting a massage now, hopefully nothing to worry about
  22. Great smother and follow up tackle leading to that Brown goal by Smith.
  23. This is a hard one. Whelan would slot nicely into that backline. Neitz in his prime would also be tasty. Yze would own the opposite wing to langdon as well as fit in anywhere as needed. Think I have to go with Yze for the modern game.
